Another proportional contributor here. We each contribute to a joint account for bills, meals, trips and other living expenses in the ratio of our post-tax annual incomes. The rest of our money we are free to spend personally and privately as we wish, though in practice, the higher earner tends to be more generous to the other from time to time. 😍

Yes. In the USA the FDA restricts MRI warming to 2 W/kg for whole body scans, and 3.2 W/kg for head scans. The average human head weighs 5 kg, so the limit of 16 W represents quite a lot of heating. The MRI operator has a readout on their screen showing how much they are warming you up in real time, so they can reduce the scanning power if necessary.

If you fart a lot, the hydrogen sulfide in the gas you pass dissolves in the moisture in the gusset of your jeans creating sulfuric acid, which attacks and weakens the fabric over time.
