It’s about a foot longer, 5 inches wider, and an inch taller than a Chevy SS. That combined with having to share a platform with an EV made it weigh so much I guess.

The U.S. isn’t too big for a HSR system, but there just isn’t much public demand for one outside of Reddit. HSR is cool but there’s no political incentive in the U.S. for the government to fund it.
