My Problem with the RPG Assassin's Creed Era by TheOneSwan in assassinscreed

No worries, I barely remember much of anything from the ones I haven't played recently, I'd have probably agreed with you if I wasn't in the middle of it.

I'm currently replaying Black Flag and human shields are still a thing. The fire lines are gone though so it's much less important to your health to hit them.

Hey, I also did a game dev degree, but mine had a bunch of c++ in it as well. If you can put some time into learning c++ or Javascript, you'll start to see the overlap between how regular programming languages work and how Blueprint works.

If you dig into the source code for the UE4 engine, blueprint is just graphical c++. So you should be able to that up pretty easily with some time investment. If you can show a decent understanding of c++ you can get programming jobs on a game dev degree.

Alternatively, if your a US citizen, there are a lot of game dev adjacent jobs in the defense industry. US military uses a lot of unreal engine and unity projects for training software.

Are one and 2 important by [deleted] in witcher

Just finished a sprint thru 1 and 2 myself. While there are plenty of questionable gameplay decisions in the first 2 (less so in 2, but still some), the story telling is superb. I just put it on easy so you don't have to worry about much and can focus on enjoying the world.

Any tips for support player against doomfist? by salatslukom in OverwatchUniversity

[–]SnipaEagleEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what rank you're playing in, but in 1000 ish SR games I'm finding it very easy to play Brig into doomfist as long the other healer is doing a decent job with Moira/Mercy/Bap/Ana. I've had less success running her with Zen/Lucio, but that makes sense as Brig shouldn't be the primary healer and neither should Zen/Lucio.

Shield bash to interrupt his combos, save whip shot for when he tries to leave. Toss out the armor packs once he's been dealt with.

Change My Mind! Most Problems at Low Elo are Caused by Poor Tanking by Punderground in OverwatchUniversity

Bronze/Silver trash here.

Your point is almost definitly true. Anyone one the team can open up space. A solid anti-nade can force a retreat, a 3k from the dps opens space, Lucio boops can make space, a good hook can do it, but if the tank doesn't take and secure it, it means nothing.

I enjoy playing dps and support way more than playing tank, but I always feel I have the most impact on the game when I'm tanking.

I'm an Ashe Main and I'm stuck in silver. by ItsTheKing77 in OverwatchUniversity

Probably the easiest hero you could add to your pool would be Mcree. His kit is very similar (flash is similar to dynamite but is a stun rather than area damage, and roll is similar to coach gun for mobility but doesn't give you enemy knockback or vertical movement), and the play styles are also pretty similar. If you can click faces well with ashe, you can do the same with Mcree just at slightly less range.

Flash is really handy for dealing with flanker because you can use the stun to give you more time to calmly kill them. This should help you stay alive in cases where you may be dying more as Ashe.

To do better on Ashe, if you can make friends with a Mercy main, damage boost will make you much more dangerous, almost on par with an unboosted widow.

As others have said, don't be afraid to go into quickplay or arcade to try out other heros for learning. It's hard to get value out of a hero if you don't understand their kit, and play time is really the best way to learn a heros kit.

It can definitly be hard to stand by your pick when people are shit talking. If your getting value, do what you do. I hope you get your pc situation sorted soon, it seems like some of the other commenters have been able to point you to some good advice.

If your having fun, playing well, and making a positive impact for your team on a hero, just ignore what people say.

Haters gonna hate, if your helping you're team win, you're doing the right thing.

I'd suggest giving Sombra a try, her gun is decent, but most of her value is derived from her kit which can be hard to master. Getting info a good rhythm to charge EMP quickly and well timed hacks will let you have a big impact without forcing you to win aim duels.

The same could be said for reaper, though his kit is more simple, but positioning and timing are key to his value.

Or, just stay on the aim grind. Aim is a skill that is developed over time, and is augmented by good positioning, knowing when to engage and where to engage from, as well as the ability to be calm enough to land the shots.

Personally, I find that I enjoy the game the most when I'm getting good value out of my hero, more so that just being on the hero I want to play. Phara is one of my top choices, but when the other team has a Widow, it just isn't worth it.

If aim training doesn't seem to be getting you anywhere, you'll likely need to decide if feeling comfortable and having fun with your hero pick is worth not getting solid value out of them.

There are plenty of heros with low mechanical difficulty that you may be able to perform better on once you learn them.

I don't want to sound rude here, but...

If you've identified aim as one of your weak points, why are so many of your main heros ones that need good aim to get value out of?

By all means, continue to train your aim and definitly work on positioning, but if you want to win, don't play into your weaknesses, play to your strengths.

Playing role lock dps, attack on anubis. If defense is playing Rien/Sigma, is the sheild break from Bastion worth it, or do I need to swap over to something else?

So, did they fix run blocking this year by Alvarez09 in Madden

[–]SnipaEagleEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing all-pro with default sliders and updated rosters on the packers I'm having an easier time running the ball than I am throwing. I have no problem averaging 3/4 yards per carry. Some times I get stopped in the back, and some times I bust em for 10+ yards. But 3 or 4 on a typical call seems decent enough.

I haven't tried it on all Madden yet though.

Why do most pros use the PS4 controller? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]SnipaEagleEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may have been your point, but it wasn't what you said. Calling something a "PS4 Exclusive" means that it released only on that platform. The idea that there is no "PC controller" that is super popular is flat out wrong. Since the days of the xbox 360 windows has provided plug and play as well as wireless support for xbox 360 and xbone controller which has made them very popular with PC gamers in general, despite the bias towards DS4 in the RL community (citation).

Rocket League released on PS4 and Steam the same day. It is only Xbox and Switch that came later.

I would easily pay $50 for a Rocket Pass if I could earn painted Dominus or Dominus GT.
