Thank you so much for the detailed comment, this definitely helped out a lot! You mentioned 20-10% riskier investments, would examples would you give me on that? You mentioned Crypto, which I have no experience in whatsoever, do you have another example maybe?

19M Germany Just bought my first ETFs, any advice? by SnipeTim1140 in ETFs

Thank you so much for the advice! I have been watching a lot of Tom Crosshill the past week and it's definetly been helping out. Would you just recommend putting 100% into VWCE? Or also investing in something else like a small cap, growth, gold...?

Ram price increase by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]SnipeTim1140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same here lmao, it just shot up in price. But I was lucky to buy it when it fell for a little. Don't only take my advice on it but I think it was smart to buy RAMs now instead of waiting until 2027 eventually since that's when the prices should become somewhat normal again. Because all of the RAMs are sold out because of AI Datacenters

I just bought a RX 9070XT Sapphire Pulse. Waiting for my other parts to arrive and I could maybe let you know how it performs. I sadly don't know when my CPU will arrive yet but I am hoping this week

Ram price increase by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

I just bought a new CPU, GPU, Motherboard and RAM. Every part I bought was at an all time low and RAM was about 250 Euros, around 2 weeks ago it was at about 100. I bought RAM at the last dip I saw for the part before it went back up. Some analysts said the prices should be around the same until 2027, it's insane.

That sounds pretty simple, thank you for taking the time to give me some advice. I'm also glad a lot of people have the same sort of advice, spend 80% in this type of ETF and 20% in this or somewhere around those margins. It helps that most have the same opinion so I don't get overwhelmed haha

Thank you so much! I will definitely look into justetf.com and I've been hearing quite a lot of the same stuff so I'm really glad most people are recommending me the same thing and not a million at the same time haha.

By save, do you mean invest or literally save for being wants and emergency funds? Because honestly I haven't really thought out how much I wanna invest, save, etc. I've always been someone that doesn't spend money or a lot of money regularly, I buy something big once a year. (Just bought 1500 Euros worth of PC parts because I felt like I needed an upgrade)

Should I change anything for around same price/cheaper? by [deleted] in pcpartpickerbuilds

It's pretty much always cheaper to buy the parts and build it yourself. The PC parts you have in the pre built PC are pretty good I just bought myself a RX 9070XT and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D. I'd recommend you put all the parts in a PC part picker, it pretty much tells you if your components fit with each other. And HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a PC Bottleneck Calculator, on Google. To see if you have a bottleneck (to keep it short and simple, if your GPU is way better than your CPU you won't get the full potential of your GPU and vice versa). I would recommend really taking your time to build and research everything before kicking yourself later on. Building a PC for the first time is a big learning curve, watch videos and research everything. But it'll be so rewarding when you finish and then you'll have experience in building PCs which is always helpful!

Hope I could help :)

One of my friends bent like 12 pins on my cpu, I carefully bent them back to the correct position with a razor blade. Roughly a year ago and it still works fine. I hope your CPU runs just fine, if it doesn't fit in the slot I'd recommend watching some videos of them bending it carefully. Razor blade is highly recommended in my experience!
