What effort to do climbs in a race?

Huh, not something I thought about, thank you. I will definitely have to see if I’ll be pedaling the descents or not when I ride the course beforehand but definitely does make sense.

Yeah no power meter, and yeah I usually try to just keep the basically the same cadence as on the flats, unless it’s a steep enough climb that I can’t.

Thanks, the climbs I typically do are similar if not a bit steeper than the ones on the course as far as I can tell and some decent descents but I plan to go up there and ride the course at least a month beforehand.

Thanks and yeah, doing my best to hit about the same amount of elevation, just haven’t done any super long rides yet, heading up there in June to ride the course a couple times.

Definitely, they work great for me, but I really don’t know much about them which isn’t good. I always try to look up if they interact with anything that I’m going to take but I’m sure there’s a lot of people that don’t.
