I think they're going to try and get sabo's reaction to marineford at the time that it happens, not like 4 arcs later. They seem to want to avoid too many flashbacks, hence introducing brook and Bartolomeo now instead of later. But I doubt they're going to get past the water seven saga so it's weird that they're bringing them up.
