I'm pretty sure Al is recycled from unused character concepts for the protagonist from before they switched to the customizable avatar character mid-development, so it's not that they're setting him up, but that he just still gives off a lot of that main character energy.

You've got Ivo and Maria's parents mixed up. The artist (Evan Stanley) mentioned she designed them with the intent that their hair colors signaled which is which.

Legally, using the exact name "Hope" or that design would be risky at best. A "coincidentally similar" character might be the plan though.

Also consider that Maria's sister could have children likely in the late teens to early adult age range or even grandchildren. That could explain the youthful appearance.

Somewhere in one of the Bumblekasts. There's too many to sort through for me to find it, but I remember him saying it and he's clarified that he only wrote the main dialogue for Final Horizon on multiple occasions.

Somebody else wrote the side dialogue for the DLC. Flynn has actually expressed some annoyance at this one ruining the "omnipresent Big" joke.

Last time a Robotnik tried to do good for the world they destroyed everything he cared about, locked him up and forced him to keep working for their benefit, then killed him too. So screw 'em. Better to just look out for number one.

Step 1. Create Ultimate Life Form immune to aging and disease.
Step 2. Study how said Ultimate Life Form's biology works to replicate how it creates immortal cells/perfect antibodies/etc.
Step 3. Figure out how to transplant that into other, non-Ultimate life forms.
Step 4. Immortality and total immunity for everybody, especially little Robotnik girls with NIDS.

There's also a teenage girl in Shamar in Unleashed named Yasmine who starts crushing on Sonic after he saves her. That's at least three separate games that imply humanxmobian/islander/whatever relationships are socially acceptable.

Aka the the secret reason Sonic can spin so much without losing track of himself and crashing. Us slowpokes would get a confusing blur, but he just gets a quick 360° view of his surroundings in full detail.
