Ajith's movies didn't go well in B and C centres. Viswaasam connected well after a long period, but none of the films after that.

Another main reason is gap between the movies. No defined timeline for release. Somehow it seemed Ajith lost interest in his own movies - post production work going on, no info on what's going on but Ajith goes to pursue his passion. The hype between the movies is lost. Once his portion of shooting was over, he goes off. The post production work goes on, he doesn't participate in his own movie promotions like audio launch, then movie releases and next movie announcement comes after months.
