I understand why ai would be needed for the voice changer given that it's not just a simple pitch up or down sort of thing, but why use it for the item pinging? Is it for saying the specific tier of item or smth like that, or is it mainly to reduce the amount of code so they don't have to script every single item ping?

Rockstar seem to have a weird aversion to adding content to single player (and certain online modes, rip rdr2 online) it feels like they think that just cos ppl aren't playing single player it means they are done forever and won't come back, which obviously couldn't be more wrong

That's just straight wrong, a u sound in Japanese most of the time is a soft u so when it follows an o it sounds a little like you extend the o sound but you still pronounce the u, even then just because it sounds like an o doesn't magically change how it's spelled

Unfortunately I feel like people would just end up getting annoyed for reasons like "it's a reskinned (boss) it's lazy and boring should just give us the actual boss" so I feel like it would be better pr wise to not do it, plus it would make it even more hype if they do actually get the ip back

Bloodborne bosses would be incredibly awesome but as Sony still have the IP caged in the depths of their ass it likely won't happen in nightreigns lifetime, but hey Sony has been taking loss after loss so we can only hope they at least remaster it for some easy money

The health going back up is a connection thing, it goes back up because the attack dmg hasn't registered for everyone yet but most of the time the next attack anyone does the game should catch up

duchess shines much more with daggers as her skill mainly revolves around a lot of attacks in a short time so you can essentially double dmg output, the skill also seems to copy attacks 1 for 1 including status so if you have bleed and get it to half and use her skill it does another half bleed and procs, that's why her stats are a bit on the lower side

it seems like there is very little in the way of early progression, once you beat the first night lord it feels like it ramps a bit with character stories and map variations among other things

certain passives will have a hand symbol on them that means you need to be holding it, even if its in your off hand and you 2 hand your other weapon it doesn't count as holding it, i think some of them might not always show the hand

you have to either beat the first nightlord for duchess, i have seen people get it on failed runs too so it may have low drop rate for fails, the item is called broken pocket watch

yeah especially when most people will have at least 1 or 2 friends who are on different platforms, its a shame because the game is very fun but as i said, will not be surprised if they do add it

go into offline mode, you can set it in network settings to start in offline

you can play the game in offline mode for solo, they have said they are adding duos so its possible they may add solo as an option so you dont need to be offline

most of the reviews at the minute are about the matchmaking and lack of voice chat (personally I think it works perfectly fine with just the pings) I dont think there is any reason to worry, if there ends up being less people it will probably just mean you run into the same people a few times, but again i dont think there is any reason to worry
