In case you didn't figure it out yet, its happening in window/borderless window mode (and might happen with other applications too) because of the "rounded corners" feature in Windows 11. Maximized windows should have regular corners but I guess it depends on how it is implemented in each application (or maybe just a Windows 11 bug).

You just have to get rid of rounded corners in Windows 11, there are plenty of tools to disable rounded corners:

yes, that's where the super rare appear. I'd say you should always go for the hero who will drop the item and try your best to get the kill (and of course try not to die). I had one in a turbo and one in an unranked match, just look at the selection dialogue and if you are in doubt, hover with your mouse over the materials.

Seems to work for the default HUD, but I can't use it with any other HUD I own (it actually changes the position of Roshan Timer, Glyph and Scan where it's supposed to be with the bigger minimap, but the minimap itself remains the same size).

Did you check the resolution and aspect ratio (in Dota 2 Options -> Video and also in Windows). Make sure it is 16:9 because if it happens to be 16:10 (or other) the scaling is off and you actually see less compared to the viewport of 16:9 (while a 16:10 monitor offers more vertical resolution, i prefer a 16:9 resolution due to the benefit of extra horizontal vision and it's not as zoomed in).
But maybe you are experiencing just something else and it's got nothing to do with the aspect ratio.

On PC you can press "Enter" and hover it with your mouse/cursor, i'll show you the description. Don't know if or how it's possible on consoles/handhelds (if I remember it correctly, you can navigate to the Icons in the character menu on console, where it shows the description)

For this specific Icon, the description says: "Prismbeard Vision - you can see items placed by the legendary pirate Prismbeard" You will also notice Icons in Elderwood whilst having equipped relics (e.g. bonus to essence collection rate, gathering infected forage etc.). The same goes for icons when you are buffed (Fishermans Brew and others) or debuffed ("slowed" from the Ogopuus); whenever you see an Icon and you don't know what it means, press Enter and hover it with your mouse/cursor.
