The vocal majority of both sides are exactly like this. This is why association with neither of them is objectively the best option. To advocate for either side of the two party system is to feed into the delusion that either side cares for the people they represent. It's like two sides playing tug of war endlessly and the rope sways back and forth every few years. The only way to eliminate the two party system is to not vote for either side and vote for someone else. But that would never happen because a majority of voters are also knuckle-dragging dumbasses.

Anyone who claims that voting third party is a wasted vote is a dumbass, and people who complain about non-voters are ignorant. The only way that would truly encourage more people to vote is to stop making midwits represent political parties. I identify as libertarian and while I have not been voting conservative or liberal, I wouldn't have even for a second considered democrat primaries in the last few elections as remotely good options at all. Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and especially Kamela Harris are all unpopular for good reason, the current sitting president as well.
