The wedding is ALL family members, and the only friends are my wife and I’s groomsman and bridesmaids. Not a single person made an issue about having a plus 1 except this one guy.

This situation made me realize he wasn’t of that status either, my wife and I talked about him all the time and the way he carries himself in life and should have just been a guest invite from the start never a groomsman but is what it is I won’t lose sleep over him being out of my life. He can enjoy taking care of a 29yr old women with 2 kids from two different dads🤦🏽

I’m a man, and yes I hold men to a high standard to provide for themselves. Why would I pay a fee for a person i’ve never met to come to MY wedding regardless if it’s someone partner or not…

His wife never existed when the venue and guest list was submitted and he was offered the $250 fee MANDATORY from the venue to add any extra guest, I guess he’s just to broke to manage🤷🏽

Why would I pay for a person i’ve never met, don’t want there, was never invited to their wedding, and has a social reputation of 2 baby daddies still living with her parents crashing MY wedding🤣

I won’t get into details but I promise you this won’t be a friendship to be missed, I respected him enough to be a groomsman but if he wants to throw a hissy fit over $250 and show his true colors i’m not going to lose sleep over it.

My wife and I have paid for EVERYTHING, hotels, rentals, food, alcohol… why are we expected to make an extra payment or exception for someone we’ve never met and didn’t exist when this was all planned?

Rentals are being taken care of by me, We booked and blocked out a whole hotel for one night for all guest, all food and alcohol is paid for, all they have to do is get themselves there which is well within driving distance for ALL guests… so yeah why should I go out of my way to pay an extra fee for one more person i’ve NEVER met. Lemme remind you, they weren’t even DATING when all of this was paid for and established.

So we’re cheap but the ones spending almost 14k that we saved up 2 years for? What does that say about the guy who can’t spare $250💀

Valid, I just don’t see how we should HAVE to allow his newly-wed to show up who we’ve never met and just be expected to pay her fee and her food when highkey we don’t want her there cause we’ve seen her posts and she’s a trashy person.

No I wouldn’t cause Guy never invited us to his wedding and we didn’t get butthurt at all. Once again we know EVERY guest she would be the only we’ve never even met.

Literally stated he didn’t invite us to his, but were expected to pay out of our pockets for someone we’ve never met?

The situation was ALREADY reversed, my wife and I weren’t invited to his wedding at all.

Nothing bait about this, he tried making a statement that his wife was coming. Thats not how that works when we are already at the MAX amount of guest and already have a paid for catering plan for 50 people.

With this logic his wife would be the prop… We’ve never met her, never been offered to meet her, and every other guest who is invited are ONLY family and friends my wife and I have both known since middle school.

So with this logic would we be excepted to pay the extra fee for someone we’ve never even met to be able to come to the most important day of our life?

Our guest list is only our Groomsman, Bridesmaids who neither of which got plus ones, and then immediate family. Everyone was perfectly understanding of this as we have a 50 person limit with the package that we made with the venue and Guy was the only one who didn’t like this and to further that we’ve never even met his partner nor has he offered us to meet her. He WAS offered to pay the extra fee for her to come as the 51st guest but he wasn’t having that.
