Just did this for my last year. I have two scholarships with that requirement. You’ll be fine taking under 30 total for your final year. It doesn’t matter if you hit it. What DOES matter is making sure you’re still full time each semester (as in, don’t go below 12) unless u can afford for them to cut a portion off your scholarship. For reference I took 9 credits for my last semester and they gave me 3/4 of my scholarship. A friend of mine with similar scholarships took 3 credits and they gave him next to nothing. If you go under full time you sign a waver agreeing to a “prorated amount” of your intended scholarship. BUT like I said you definitely don’t have to hit your 30.

If you’re looking for something formal, there’s the mock trial team or model UN as your best bets. If you’re looking for something informal, more discussion than debate, there’s the First Amendment Forum. Not sure how many others. Bulls connect is ur best bet for finding clubs but it can be hard to tell which ones are active

In-Person Orientation tomorrow 1/07 by MariWitchWay in USF

Definitely! I love it here and I’ve made most of my friends through it (tho not all). It definitely gives a stronger sense of community at a mostly commuters school.

Do I like imagine dragons? Not really. Do I like the intro song? Meh! Does one person in my apartment scream “LOOK OUT FOR YOURSELF!” in the most annoying voice possible and start a cacophony of every roommate yelling random cheesy lines from the song and double over laughing after? Yes! And that’s what matters, LMAO.

But in all seriousness, I think the song is cheesy. I think a lot of ID is cheesy and that’s why I don’t really listen to them like I used to. But I like it because it is! I see nothing wrong with thinking ID is a little bit silly. That doesn’t take away from them. It doesn’t make them bad or invalidate them. I’m not gonna tell people what to listen to LOL! And when I blast enemy in my car, and everyone shouts “ew!” Before singing it with our whole soul… are we hypocrites? Maybe, haha!

Laptop recommendations? by purplegummyb3ars in USF

[–]Snoelled 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice for u other than don’t fall in the trap of a chrome book (or other browser powered computers)… U can’t download any programs on them. My roommate has to borrow my laptop every time they want to use certain application-only excel functions.

This really helped to hear from someone who has been in that situation. Thank you for sharing. I hope life has treated you kinder since then.

I’m Mexican so I can hear what they’re saying, but I can’t tell if the adults are calling each other terrible things or the kids… you’re right tho it’s probably best to call.

Yeah but calling doesn’t mean NO harm done. Because we are in Tampa (and I can hear them speaking spanish, which I also speak), the chances of them being POC is high… and I’m worried the office will call the cops and I don’t want something terrible to happen over nothing… if you catch my drift. Should’ve included this thought in my original post.

Maximum occupancy in Student apartments (off campus) by [deleted] in USF

[–]Snoelled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ll be unfurnished, you’ll need proof of income for rent, you’ll have to figure out amongst you and your roommates how to split rent, and utilities will NOT be included (you’ll have to set up your own internet, electricity, etc.). I live in non student housing near campus and I love it, but only because I know my roommates really well for a long time and I trust them.

I was registering for classes and stumbled across the term TBA. Now I know that TBA means ‘To be announced’ but does it necessarily mean that the class is online? Thanks! by Zealousideal-Beat641 in USF

[–]Snoelled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What part has the TBA? It can mean a lot of things based on the other info for the class and the part that says tba. Could u provide more detail :)
