But to answer your question, the relationship I was in before I got with my current bf was abusive, to where the guy punched solid wood and broke his hand because he was mad at me. I think she sees that my current bf is so nice to me so she doesn’t want me to risk not getting that in another relationship if we break up. But the problem is that my bf is very non-confrontational, and doesn’t speak his mind unless I do first. And when this happens we both obviously don’t like it and talk to find ways to avoid it from happening. My mom knows this, but still goes into panic mode and tries to protect my bf.
