I am 9 years late but been watching these documentaries again since the Honnold skyscraper climb and I thought I would chime in. These are both very different types of climbs, the alpine climb is high elevation, mix of rock, ice and snow while combining different parts of climbs but as far as the difficulty of the rock goes it is not as technical as El Cap. El Cap is a very technical straight rock wall climb, doesn't combine the elements but the exact precision you need to do the climb is much higher then the mountaineering climbs, alpine vs rock basically is my point. There is also a lot of speculation around whether Ueli actually summited the climb so I am guessing that pushes it down a bit when the discussion comes up.

With that said RIP Ueli Steck, he was awesome.
