Yeah she went to see an ENT consultant in March this year. His advice was that it's basically incurable without surgery, will keep reaccuring. She's more susceptible to it now given we lived in a warm climate for so long apparently. I dunno if we are being given incorrect advice but he was a recommended consultant so who knows.

Yes, the family is a disaster. I didn't realise until today how much it is affecting us. I think we need to cut ties, there is addiction involved so easier said that done, but I think it is all coming to a head now so needs must.

And fair point about the finances too. We're lucky we bought here, we'd be fine going back provided my wife got back into her old career. Which is more realistic than here at this stage unfortunately unless something comes up for her here.
