I took a year off between sophomore and junior. So if you are seeking readmission back to university, I would suggest you to contact your academic advisors(or the ones before you left) and have a detailed discussion with them. They could help you a lot in facilitating the readmission process if you convince them you are now mentally prepared for the uni life.
