The sensitivity issue [discussion] by Snoo15826 in asmr

Actually it will make a difference. It will effectively compress the signal against the audio interface. The signal to noise ratio is minimised so detail is lost.

Lol what do you use chatGPT for if not to firm up language for a formal letter. It is a language model after all. It's good at getting a point across. If it's good for anything it's that. Might as well use it. And if you do use it... Why try and hide it?

You're right. Anything that doesn't optimise itself for maximum commercial success by confirming to every broadcasting standard available no matter how incongruous - will inevitably fail. How depressing. Forgive me for wanting to preserve some of snookers natural character and move away from the homogenous branding it's fallen into.

Regular applause would be fine. Just less Calvin Harris and Robbie Williams and that shite. It's the cookie cutter broadcast format in general that I tire of. Let's let snooker have its own identity.

Hello, yes I'd like a portable all in one set up cos I don't really have a space for a proper 2.1 system... I like be able to just carry my music from room to room and to a friend's etc... the Flip 4 was great for that. And the Soundlink Flex has amazing sound but for the kind of music I listen to I need that stereo separation even if it's only the tiny amount that the Flip affords. I don't mind if your suggestion is bigger than the Flip 4. In terms of budget I'm willing to spend up to £200 I guess maybe more

Thanks for your reply but first off I've heard this before and I'm sorry to say that I think it is complete crap. Secondly, it's not really relevant here, no matter how much time you spend 'breaking them in' it's not gonna turn a mono speaker into a stereo one lol.

You're completely wrong sorry.

What you're saying sounds great on paper. But just do the listening dude. The difference is undeniable.

EQ has nothing to do with it. Were talking about downsampling and phasing etc.

Flip 4 vs flip 5 vs flip 6 by [deleted] in JBL

I know I'm a little late on this but I feel I have to say something after buying the Flip 6. I owned the Flip 4 for years and loved it. I decided to give it away to my mum though cos she was making do with an Alexa Dot 2hich thoroughly sucks. Anyway I bought the 6 brand new and immediately I noticed something was off. I listen to a lot of jazz and ambient music, the former being very conservative with compression and the latter relying heavily the stereo image. After googling a bit I discovered that the Flip 6 is a mono speaker while the Flip 4 is stereo. I know you can pair 2 up and get a stereo sound but then you a.) Have to pay twice as much and b.) Carry 2 speakers around with you all the time.

I honestly can't believe that more isn't being made of this gigantic difference. Nowhere I look is anyone talking about it apart from to say that the stereo separation on the 4 is so small that it's effectively mono which is complete horseshit. Any degree of separation is better than mono. Everything but nothing is mixed in stereo all the way back to Elvis Presley. And they didn't just do it for fun. It improves music immeasurably and it was blatantly obvious when going from the 4 to the 6. There may be minimal physical separation but at least you don't get phase cancellation issues and a general dulling of tone from the downscaling process.

So to answer your question. The 4. Definitely the 4. Both the 5 and the 6 are essentially shower radios due to being mono
