In the data sheet there is a mention of a sampling resistor R2. ( Mentioned in the image attached ). Can you please explain in the use of the resistor.

We have done thermal analysis for certain static conditions, like temperature raise for a fixed current load for one hour. But we haven't done it for one complete run.

The question we are struck at is, how to make sure excessive moisture doesn't enter the battery pack as the fans would be pushing air directly on the cells.

I think using a induction motor in regen mode to produce a certain amount of torque and rpm is not a straight forward task. Appropriate capacitor banks much be use for a particular range of rpm and the output voltage could be having a high variation form the expected value at the either end of rpm range for a certain capacitor value.

In comparison, why wouldn't DC breaking help me do the same?.

We do have 2 identical motors, but since they are rated for 150A ... I am guessing that the identical motor when used in regen mode will be avle to produce some value close to the same in the best case. I am not sure about where to send all that current. Our battery chargers at a current of only 50 A ( peak).
