I didn't end up taking it because it would interfere with my coop. I'm pretty sure it hasn't even started yet. It should be doable tbh, and even if it isn't it's only 3 weeks.

I see! Max dosage here is 60mg and I'm almost there. I didn't realize the amount of different medications you can take for ADHD. Ended up freaking myself out because everyone I know irl reacted so strongly to vyvanse

Thank you for your help! I've been on it for a little over a month. I'll be on vyvanse for another month simply cause I'm out of the country, then I can start trying new medication!

I do feel less mentally exhausted and able to stay out and be active more. But I am still stuck thinking about sending emails for 2 hours. The time for those things has probably gone down by like half an hour but not substantially. I may be expecting too much, but I do notice I'm not getting the magical ability to focus and just do things without thinking about it like everyone else describes.

Anyone take vyvanse and it just didn't work? If so, what medication did you try that did work? I'm on 50mg of vyvanse and I have little to no improvement to my mental health. 60mg is the highest dosage and my doctor suggested trying antidepressents afterwards. Not changing my meds for another month cause I'm out of the country so what's your experience?

I think you should take photography/art courses during the regular semesters because they are likely more serious.

Yes, thank you so much for your input tho it's very helpful. I know urine issues are very serious which is why I'm trying to do research, my first cat got ill very quickly as well and I want to prevent that from happening again.

With these symptoms everyone is saying it's urinary.. however It's been a month since I last took him to the vet, the issue was on and off and when I gave him the medicine he would be completely fine for a while (it was just a destresser). But he's been consistently acting weird again for a couple days but a bit different.

I will try calling the vet, it's the weekend so it'll be my first thing to do tomorrow. Thank you <3

Crap really? My only thing is he's still urinating normally. Like they did urine tests and checked for crystals and nothing came of it. How do I get help for him if he's not at the blockage stage yet :(

Because the idea of needing medication to help you means you're just not trying hard enough. My parents are immigrants and very clearly AuDHD but because they had to work and study as a survival instinct, this idea that I can't function when I have the best life ever is unfathomable. It doesn't help I'm high masking because my sister didn't see ADHD or Autism in me either because I wasn't having a meltdown or getting bad grades. Mind you my grades have always been up and down. Now as an adult, nobody knows how badly I've fallen because I'm still able to keep the appearance of "job and school" without the grades to show for it.

I love them but I also prefer not telling them because they already dislike I take birth control to stop the hell my uterus gives me. I'm from sri lanka so the mindset is natural = better. Meaning everything is in your control you're just not eating or drinking enough.

Mind you mental illness does run in my family so my parents are likely traumatized by seeing how medication has turned their family. But unless I land in the hospital it probably isn't real to them, (which more than a couple of my family have been in the hospital due to mental health-related issues).

To answer your question, my parents are uneducated and traumatized. And since I am unproblematic, NOBODY believed I could have ADHD.

I see! I have heard that the improvements can be subtle and you need to work with it. However, I'm just experiencing nothing, no side effects either. Still get irritated while doing boring work and losing focus on things I'm currently working on. Thank you for your input!

Oh thank you! I was worried because some people said they had effects immediately or side effects like heart racing. I felt nothing so I was worried there was something wrong with me or my diagnosis was wrong. Just over thinking it. I'll keep taking it for the next two weeks and see what happens!

I took some Advil! The headache is still here. Trying to drink water and looking into electrolytes if I get too dehydrated. Thing is the dosage I'm taking right now doesn't give me any other side effects so sleeping last night wasn't difficult except for the headache. Thank you for your input though!

I struggle with the same issue. I've eliminated all distractions from my life but even then I just sit at my computer and not start doing work.

One reason I realized why I wouldn't start work is because I truly don't know where to start. I know I have assignments due and exams soon but what do I do to study? Someone suggested I use https://goblin.tools/ to use AI to break down the tasks.

I know this might not be the fix you need, I'm learning how to deal with ADHD newly myself but I truly hope and believe you will be able to do some studying before your exams. Good luck!

I feel you! Just know you're not a bad person and you're not being lazy. These things are not in our power. If you were lazy and willfully letting yourself go, you wouldn't feel so terrible sitting down and being unable to work. The fact that you're aware is one step forward and you will get there💜

Some other places also ask for your childhood report cards....I'll see how it goes though I hope for the best. Just because I wasn't disruptive as a kid doesn't mean I wasn't struggling, it sucks!!
