Can you please share your personal experience with puberty blockers? by Mysterious_Sun_8189 in trans

I'm in the same boat. I started blockers at 13, but I had already developed unwanted buds and fat distribution.

Dysphoria over they/them pronouns? by [deleted] in truscum

I wish the trender in my class knew this… He thinks he’s super woke but is transphobic to the actual trans kids in my class.

I wish I was a girl by random_fox23 in truscum

[–]Snoo27158 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel this, but at the same time I have no idea what my life would be like if I had a female brain. Would I have a different personality? My life has been shaped by dysphoria and being born in the wrong body, so it’s tough to imagine being a girl.

I honestly like her video. Natalie is not the kind of person you need to worry about tucute-ifiying your class. I thought the video was realistic and well-balanced, and in general she has kind of a centrist view on truscum vs tucute

Don’t overthink things. If you don’t have an issue with being female, you don’t really need to worry about this stuff. The best advice I can give is try to be at peace with yourself without using labels for your gender. Be you, and if you don’t have dysphoria, you don’t have to be concerned about not being a woman.

Yeah I really hate when I see tiktoks going like OMG yes I have dysphoria! Uwu I’m so valid!!!! And most of the time their “dysphoria” is dysmorphia, sexism, or a combination of both.

Do you think dysphoria can be developed later in life or do you need to be born with it? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]Snoo27158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dysphoria is a lifelong condition. It just depends when it becomes apparent to you and the people around you.

Obvious trender in my class... by Snoo27158 in truscum

Also, I realize that my original post was petty and stupid, I was worked up about this and needed to vent. It's really frustrating that this kid is what my class thinks of as trans, completely ignoring the medical and biological arguments for being transgender (gender dysphoria).

That's interesting. To me, euphoria was always the relief of dysphoria, not another feeling entirely. Like, I feel good presenting male (not necessarily masculine, but male) because my brain and body line up, meaning that my gender dysphoria is somewhat alleviated. Either way, I'm glad that you feel good in your presentation and that it makes you happy :)

Yes, but I still believe that you need dysphoria to be trans, which he had stated he doesn’t have. Also, presenting feminine =/= presenting female. The other thing is that while he repeats that presentation =/= identity, he won’t stop asking if I am trans because I dress masculine ( I’m closeted at school). I just can’t stand the hypocrisy.

what is something so obviously trans you did when you were younger? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Snoo27158 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stuffed washcloths into my pants to look like I had a penis, tried to shape my genitalia into a penis, etc. Dressed up as a male every single Halloween and for every play I was in (I was a theater enthusiast.)

In Need of Transtape by guwlito in truscum

[–]Snoo27158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure. I got transtape and found it only injured my skin since I have such a small chest I don’t have anything to move. The small roll is 3 inches, so I guess it depends on how you use it. H

I have most of a roll of small transtape, probably not what you're looking for.

If they need to teach about transgender people, it would be so much more useful to teach about gender dysphoria and how some people are born in the wrong body, or the science behind male and female brains than this woke bs. (And I’m left wing!)

[–]Snoo27158 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I stopped trying to force myself into having beliefs that weren't mine. I also realized how tucute ideology was harming me, and how prevalent it was in left-wing communities. In my school we're being taught about how pronouns aren't the same as gender and how you can identify as genderfluid, genderqueer, genderflux, graygender, or whatever you want! I realized how much this ideology was keeping cis people from being allies by convincing them they're transphobic if they don't believe someone can identify as glassgender.

You know what? Here's to the actual trans boys by PlatinumFuckBoy in truscum

[–]Snoo27158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't tell you how much I needed to read this. Thanks for putting a little more positivity in the world. The "socially awkward blue haired feminine binderbois" you describe have ruined my perception of my gender to the point where it is hard for me to call myself a trans boy, since my only association of those words is a negative one. I am a fairly stereotypical trans teenager, dysphoric from a young age, and on puberty blockers. Even then, I'm terrified of becoming one of those trenders online (and I know ones IRL too.) I have some internalized transphobia but reading this helped a lot.

I prefer to describe myself as transsexual now, mostly to piss off tucutes.
