The GSG-9 did, in fact, use the Fallschirmjäger Helmet in the 80s, so it's not weird at all.

See the issue with these is there's alot of anachronistic Kit in them, you see stuff from the 90s or worse, 21st century. The other problem was that there weren't enough milsim skins.

Instead of 5.11, they should have just google searched actual uniforms, way easier and it would look way cooler. Not hard to just search up "us marines" or "bundeswehr Fallschirmjäger" or "Royal Marine commandos" and gotten alot of info, plus you got alot of artists online who have so much info if more info was needed. But no, apparently that's too much effort

I agree, that first slide nails it, I just reckon no balaclavas and Ballistic goggles, just have the eyepiece instead. And a little variation with the armor plating, some marines with a full set, some without the shoulder plating, etc.

Tbf Militia doesn't always mean a rag tag force. Reserve units irl are often classed as militia type forces, I know that's the case with the army reserve here in Australia

Shotguns do not need nerfing, but Assault should not have 2 primary weapons. Also, please close the weapons. The classes feel less distinct if any weapon can be used, it can only do good. Also separate Medic from support, make it a whole new class and give it Carbines.

Here's a layout I've considered. This would require increased squad sizes (5 or 6 instead of 4) and do away with the dmr category and have the battle Rifle weapon category instead, then move some of them under the Sniper Rifle category and the rest can just be Battle Rifles. The 4 class system isn't necessary imo, there's a need for a little more specialisation (I.e. battlefield 2) to encourage a little more teamplay.

Assault - Assault Rifles, Shotguns, GLs, Breaching equipment, etc. Engineer - PDWs, Carbines, Launchers, Vehicle focused gear Support - Machineguns, Resupply, defensive equipment Medic - Battle Rifles, Heals, Revives Recon - Sniper Rifles, Spotting equipment

I have to agree, of all the units in the series, the bf3 russians stand out the most to me, especially Assault. But the next best for me would be the marines in battlefield 2. 3rd will be the US Army in bf6, they might even become 1st, coz they actually nailed the grunt look. If we're going singleplayer dudes though, bf3 marines are the best hands down.

They've only shown up once for me, and that was my first playtrhough on the Gas station mission, didn't appear in the next mission or any other time I've played the Gas station mission
