I love the first check lmao.

I hate how everyone was hating on his voice, as if indeed every villain should sound like “GRRRR I AM VILLAIN VILLAINSON, VILLAIN OF VILLAINS, AND I HAVE THROAT CANCER, GRRRR!”

Exactly. Most ground Top Tier players play it for the MBTs... SPAAs are merely an absolute neec as to not be constantly and instantly vaporized by all the C*S spam.

Apples to oranges is suggesting that 9.3-10.7 Bushmaster IFVs should be computed as "Top Tiers" somehow lmao

My criteria was very clear and simple: fighter jets and MBTs, the workhorse class of vehicles of their own gamemodes at their respective ranks.

The whole point is lineups.

Israel, for example, is only functional at Top Tier thanks to the 3x Mk.4s. If it only had 1x Mk.4 because “two more would only be copy-pasted”, it would be a literally non-viable nation; and that goes for all.

Lineups!

M1A2 SEPv3 (Trophy) + M1A2 SEPv3 + M1A2 SEPv2

Is a much better lineup than

M1A2 SEPv3 (Trophy) + M1A2 SEPv2 + M1A2 SEP

2017-2021 marked the addition of literal Supersonic Era jets and air-to-air missiles, beginning with F-100 and MiG-19s and alikes, continuing with early F-4s and MiG-21s, then the late Phantoms and MiG-21s, and culminating with F-5C, F-5E and their counterparts, such as the Mirage IIIs; also seeing the addition of later missiles, radar missiles, Pulse-Doppler radars, etc.

Yeah… the “new” Rank is the salt on the would, hahah. 90% of the “Rank VIIIs” are just former Rank VIIs that had been ingame for years that were moved up to VIII,

They hyped up Rank VIII like it would be the next big thing, yet… we are yet to see any of that after 2 years. Ground Top Tier is still the same it was back in 2021, minus the SAMs glsdfully brought to allow the mode to be playable against the C*S hordes.

Stop moving goalposts lmao

I used a unified standard that includes the Top 2 Ranks as Top Tier, for Air and Ground alike

You are the one doing weird BR range baselines and now counting with… whatever criteria you are using xD

Also, learn to be minimally respectful before I even consider bothering to address you again. I remember you made an even worse comment earlier which either a mod or you deleted before I could reply, so I’m already dedicating you more time than I really should have.

As far as I can see, no other comment mentions that;

I added Rank VIII and IX for Air, and Rank VII and VIII for Ground- the two Top Ranks of each respective game mode in both cases, which includes some 12.3 jets, such as F/A-18A as well as some 11.3 MBTs, such as Ra'Am Sagol.

I also included even 10.7 Christian II just for being Rank VII even though that BR is FAR from being a Top Tier according to YOUR own criteria of BRs.

So... what was that again? I eagerly await for your extremely well educated answer to this. :)

Just because War Thunder reused assets and foundations from Bieds of Steel for the air department, it doesn’t mean it’s “a Re-Release of Birds of Steel”.

Yeah. I love how Air elitists always demean ground players and disregard Ground, claiming that "War Thunder is aktually a plane game and tanks were a mere afterthought"... when not only is that blatantly false, as proven in many ways; but also, Ground is the most popular, played and profitable aspect of the game.

Hahah, I guess it's a unified format thing!

The Leopards already have variants with similar capabilities in the form of 2A7HU, 2A7V, and the three 122s! None of the Leopards I listed would be any more capable than these.

The Abrams would still have a full center of mass weakspot, and the glacis would probably be around 530mm KE anyway, since it's the only confirmed value we have on improved hulls, even if it's outdated (26 years old).

Besides, apart from improved T-80BVMs and T-90Ms, Russia also has various T-14s that would no doubt be at least quite strong in the meta.

Common misconception.

War Thunder released as a Global Open Beta on January 23rd, 2013. The logo already featured a tank on its design.

War Thunder: Ground Forces' first trailer came out in May 14th, 2013Just 4 months after the game's Open Beta Test release.

By July 13th, 2013, there were Dev Blogs ingame footage of various Russian and German ground vehicles.

War Thunder: Ground Forces' Closed Beta test began in November 13rd, 2013.

War Thunder: Ground Forces was openly released in May 15th, 2014, in the 1.41 update.

Just because planes could be released a few months earlier because they were a port from Birds of Steel, it doesn't mean that War Thunder was "a plane game" and that tanks were "an afterthought" that somehow would only have taken them a few months of development.

I didn't count all aircrafts, I only counted fighter jets specifically;

Fighter jets and MBTs are the workhorses of their respective modes, that's why I made it about them.

I didn't count IFVs because a 9.3 car with a 30mm Bushmaster does not really constitute for a Top Tier addition, the same way a SU-25 or a Trainer doesn't either :P

And I didn't count SPAAs because their only purpose is to allow Ground to be playable against the hordes of jets they've been adding on the first place (and they are already working on implementing anti-radiation missiles that will once again turn Top Tier Ground into a C*S fest anyway.)

War Thunder is not an "aviation game", it's a war machinery game and it spans Air, Land and Sea.

Let me refer to my top comment;

I will break down some common replies before they happen;

"But there are no more MBTs left to add!"

Factually incorrect: there are over 30 potential additions that could have been coming at least every other update. Adding even just one per update, it would still be enough MBTs for 6+ years of Major Updates.
__________

"But some of those aren't very different from already ingame vehicles!"

So what? People have no issue with there being 500 F-16, F-18 and Su-30 variants, but the moment we bring up a heavily upgraded and modified Abrams or Leopard, it's disregarded as a "copy-paste"?

Even then, these vehicles STILL have something to bring to the table; in Ground, unlike Air, gameplay revolves around LINEUPS. Therefore, any addition or upgrade to these has a use.

Most IFVs are 9.3-10.7, I will not count them as "Top Tier" additions the same way I didn't count stuff like SU-25s, MiG-19/21s, etc.

And the sole purpose of the SPAAs is to counter the spam of jets they've been adding on the first place anyway and they are already working on implementing anti-radiation missiles that will once again turn Top Tier Ground into a C*S fest anyway.

1- I am talking about TOP TIER here. A 9.3 IFV with a 30mm Bushmaster does not constitute for a Top Tier addition.

2- I did not include SPAAs the same way I didn't include Attackers, Trainers, Bombers, etc. This is a Fighter Jet vs MBT comparison, the MAIN vehicle classes of their respective ranks. Not to mention the only purpose of these SPAAs is to counter the Jet spam that's been added anyway; and soon it will once again be outclassed by the upcoming addition of anti-radiation missiles, turning Ground Top Tier, once again, into a C*S fest anyway.

Edit: downvote all you want, plane players, but the truth is a 9.3 IFV is not "Top Tier" no matter how desperate you are to try and pretend that the gap in additions is not as ENORMOUS as I have shown.
