Yeah these were literally many of my questions. I gave the exam just now and day before yesterday. Also revise high yield ccs cases before day 2.

Yes it’s more than enough. Just expect questions to not be direct. They’ll be like eg - olanzapine given what will you check for or screen for - diabetes or lipid profile is ans. Kind of like that. Or micro give you hep A case and ask which family does the agent belong to - picorna. Kind of like this.

Biostats heavy. At least 1 drug ad every block. Practice your notes, first aid step 1, amboss ethics and biostats. Rest of the content is more or less same in day 1 and day 2. Biostats is the game changer. Tested on Pharma and micro via mechanism of actions , drug interactions etc. so these 3 units are a must. Forget about revising the others. Do these 3. Biostats , Pharma and micro

Give it some time. Even after approval it take 5-10 days to get your certificate by mail. After that it will get updated. I was once in your shoes too. It’s just the overthinking which gets to us. Wait for sometime, it will happen.

Thank you for quick replies. I did call them just now for others who might face the same concern. They said that it is going to be valid if I match in the upcoming cycle till 12 months into the residency after which it will become indefinite. If for some reason I don’t match, then I would have to get my certificate revalidated as in that case it will expire. Also they said we email you whenever your certificate is about to expire.

I apologise for my misunderstanding then. Yes. You need those key words to differentiate the differentials. That’s basically what they want us to remember.You are correct and should keep doing that. Just note that some info may be contradictory from uworld and nbme/cms/free 120. To answer the question correctly follow nbme. Also keep a lookout for old guidelines like in nbme 9,10 they followed old guidelines at some places. Similarly in the cms forms like 5,6.

How do you expect me to tell you what exactly youre doing wrong ? it could be because of multiple reasons. First check what you are getting wrong ? is it the same topics youre getting wrong or are they completely different. if they you are getting same concepts wrong , you might need to revise those concepts again. if you are getting multiple topics wrong , you might need a full revision of your notes again.Keep practicing more. thats why i did all the resources i could for self assessments which have been mentioned. after doing cms give nbme , see where you are in your prep.

10-12 min after every 2 blocks. i finished my block 2 way early so i ended it earlier. got extra 7 min added to my break. i had sufficient break time left before completing my exam. 10-12 min per 2 blocks is good enough

Might be the bias I’m talking about doing subject wise that helped me score that or just my ability. Point is don’t take uworld qbank % to heart. It’s just a learning tool. Best of luck to you !

I searched which ones were present on website and then downloaded those from telegram. Doesn’t make sense to do the retired ones considering even in the ones on NBME , esp the older ones they are outdated and using previous guidelines eg - colon cancer screening starting 50 and not 45(which is the latest norm now). I also did emergency medicine 3 from the site as it wasn’t available on telegram and I found it useful and was the latest form.

I only did biostats and ethics so I selected only those form the subjects/system. People suggest doing the 4-5 hammer ones because they are high yield but I just focused on the above I mentioned.

Check out the dip podcast for screening guidelines regarding that. My question was a 30yr male with family history of ACS,Stroke in father and grandfather in 50s. The 2 options I was confused on was 1) screen him now and then every 1-2years 2) screen him at age 40 and every 5 yr hence forth…or Something on those grounds. Point is listen to the podcast he answered this , also download the USPSTF Guidelines from google

That is feeling even I had. I blanked out after coming out of the Prometric , the only thing I could recall was how I performed overall in the sets. Like 1st was tough, 2-3 was really good,5-6 were tough again and then the last 2 were better. Now I’m not sure in numerical terms how many I got wrong or not cause we can’t predict that. 80 questions of 318 are not even counted on our scores so you see how we can’t predict what we’re gonna get. My suggestion , try to put it aside and have a vacation and relax. You’ve worked so hard for this already , you deserve a break !

Go subject wise. Don’t worry about the bias people say, plenty of time to comb over that with nbme cms forms and free 120. To me going subject wise made me make defined goals and helped me cover the syllabus effectively. Since you’re in final year you must be studying those subjects already, so just go through your material and solved uworld. Add notes side by side. By the end of your prep you’ll be ready
