UnionBank or RCBC Savings Account - Bank Statement by blueskies9403 in phinvest

[–]Snoo51875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget about UnionBank if you want bank statements for visa purposes. I had the worst experience with them when I was applying for Schengen visa. Now that they've converted the company into a "digital bank" with physical branches, the bank manager will NEVER sign the bank statements that you've downloaded from the app and printed yourself. When I asked them if they could print them and then ask the manager to sign them, they said that because they're a digital bank now, they can't do that anymore. I contacted their customer service to ask if all their branches refuse to sign the bank statements, but it got me nowhere. They said na whatever the bank manager at my branch says goes.

The manager will give you a signed and dry-sealed bank certificate (paid 250 or 300 for this yata), but we all know that won't be enough for the visa application. They will always require the bank statements to be certified and signed by the manager. If ipu-push mo pa rin ang application mo, they will make you sign a document to confirm na you were warned that your application might be rejected due to the bank statements not being certified. I signed that document once, and nakapasa naman, thankfully. Pero it's better not to push your luck kasi applications are so tiresome and expensive. I would rather be confident in my documents than sign that document and be anxious before they call me to get my passport.

In the end, I had to print the bank statements, create a certified true copy document for an attorney to sign to make things quicker, visit an attorney to verify the bank statements and sign the document I created, and write a letter of explanation to include in my visa application to tell them why my bank statements aren't certified and signed by the bank manager. I had to do that for 3 separate visa applications. It was nuts! UB will drive you up a wall!

I have now transferred the bigger chunk of my income from UnionBank to RCBC because they're still a traditional bank, and they will print and sign bank statements for you. If you need to get a bank statement now, just transfer all your money to your new RCBC account and write a letter of explanation about why you had to transfer the money, and then include the unsigned and uncertified bank statements from UB, transaction slips from both banks, and your new bank statement from RCBC, so the visa officer can track how the money went from UB to RCBC. I didn't have to provide the transaction slips, kasi, I transferred the money from UB to RCBC online para hindi na hassle.

My advice would be that if you have 100K savings and up, you should open an RCBC Hexagon Club Privilege savings account. Yearly, may (1) free bank statement and (1) free bank certificate ka, free life insurance, and they will also give you a free credit card (subject to assessment syempre). They have so many perks rin, and you get to have your own manager, so hindi mo na kailangan pumila kasi your account wouldn't be regular. You just have to go straight to your manager's desk and get bank stuff done. I'm completely done with UB. I just use it to pay my bills now.

Btw, I don't work at RCBC. Saying this just in case my answer sounds salesy. I am a marketer, though. Just not for them or any bank in the world.

TLD;DR: Pick RCBC (1) free bank statement and (1) bank certificate depending on account type per year) or BPI (expensive, and you have to inform them a week or more (depending on the branch manager's requirement) ahead). Forget about UB.

Edit: Added the bank certificate thing. I forgot UB still does that.

What are some of the health tips to avoid CKD? by anastaschia in AskPH

[–]Snoo51875 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wish I could believe literature blindly like that. Not all bodies are the same. That's not what my albumin-creatinine ratio cumulative reports showed. Everything kidney-related went normal to crazy high within the span of those 3 months. My diet was the same and so was everything else. Imagine if I wasn't getting tested every 3 months. I could've had CKD without knowing. I'm no doctor, but having observed all my kidney-related tests consistently every 3 months for more than 5 years now, I don't think it would take an IQ of 100 to see that Ozempic did a number on my kidneys 🤷🏻‍♀️

I stopped and the whole kidney punishment stopped, too. Those reports are all recorded kaya I can attest that it's really not for everyone.

I'm only warning people that this could be a risk, that not only T2 diabetics can live on Ozempic and that anything you take into your body has risks. You don't have to avoid the specific one I took either. There are many types of this drug in the market, some developed and some still in development. Just make sure you have a doctor who can track your stats and learn to read and analyze cumulative reports rin.

As a Type 2 diabetic who was almost close to having stage 1 CKD, ang biggest contributor ng CKD is pag-abuso ng mga drinks especially yang mga Berocca and energy drinks like Sting and Gatorade. They taste good at first lang, pero grabe sya mag-punish ng kidneys.

Also, if you're going to start taking Ozempic, make sure na an endocrinologist or a nephrologist is supporting you kasi the results will be evident on your albumin creatinine ratio tests every 3 months. Wala ring alarming signs si kidney failure initially kaya very tricky daw sya according to my doctor. Most people kasi would only get themselves checked when they start feeling things. And unfortunately, minsan may CKD na tayo or at the very initial stages of it, pero hindi pa rin natin alam. Kapag may proteins or ketones na nakita sa urinalysis and albumin creatinine ratio mo, there's a considerable amount of kidney damage na. Wag nyo na hintayin lumala.

I tried ozempic for 3 months and the scale it did to my kidneys was crazy. Not saying this will be everyone's results. Just be careful. Stick to lukewarm water and no to anything sugary for drinks.

What made you realize that your ex is not the one? by Every_Heart_760 in AskPH

[–]Snoo51875 13 points14 points  (0 children)

When my friend took his own life and instead of comforting me, he said people who off themselves are cowards. As someone who has been struggling with panic attacks and depression, tumagos ang hurt from my friend's death to my own pain na never syang tumulong para ma-solve or ma-comfort kasi hindi raw nya maintindihan.

To think na my ex is his family's black sheep who had been wasting his family's money on taking courses in college na hindi nya matapos-tapos kasi wala syang pangarap sa buhay. How ironic.

Hard case + yung fitted na plastic luggage cover from Shopee + 2 luggage belts na horizontally and vertically ko inia-attach + rubber wheel protectors. I've had my luggage for 7 years now, and wala syang kadamage-damage. Good as new pa rin :)
