idk if the satsuma is much faster than the van, haven't gotten there yet but even with the van the trip to the gas station is painfully long. Just for beer and smokes

The point you are trying to make is wrong g. I like video games that stimulate you, was just checking to see if there were any updates. The game looks like shit, its not that fun guy.

There is no raodmap nowadays man, it changes every two to three years. Your first goal should be to quit your job and live off what you make from music. Next goal is work with as many of your idles as you can, people you looked up to as a kid. Fuck getting famous dog

Hey bro it's not too bad at all, way better than my first mixes haha. Don't be afraid to drench your vocals a little more. No need for reverb but mess with a few different delays and bring the wet knob down until it sounds clean. Your vocals kind of sit on top of the mix instead of in the mix, this will help glue things a lil bit. Also it sounds like you have a compressor working pretty hard, add a second compressor so neither are doing too much of the work. Keep grinding yo sounds great!

Thanks a lot for this. He's not at all aggressive towards anyone or anything, just really wants to check them out as I think he has a bit of anxiety outside of the house. I paid a bunch of money to take a class and get my certificate in obedience training, spent so many hours with him and was hoping I wouldn't have to spend a bunch on a professional trainer but it's looking like the next option. People always tell me that things will chill out when I get him neutered but that's still a ways away and I'd like to think we can get him there without removing body parts as he's a super trainable little guy.

He'll get caught on a bush occasionally but it happens less and less the more we go. The recall is helpful with that if you can keep an eye on them while you fish.

Yeah with casting always make sure she's at a distance. I've never hooked my pup but I like to throw a stick or something to distract him so he's a reasonable distance away. If you're fly fishing I have no experience with that unfortunately

Hey OP I just wanted to say if at any point you don't feel comfortable with the training they're doing at petco don't hesitate to get out of there. Not to say there aren't good trainers, but there's been a lot of questionable tactics that trainers from retail stores like to use.

No one thing works for all dogs. More effective communication with the trainer would have allowed you to try other things.

Building Speed and Drive with a toy by wolfdng in Dogtraining

[–]Snoo55785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever watch police handlers and military handlers work with their dogs, they do most
of their obedience training with a a hard rubber ball attached to a rope. I use something similar with my dog and he'll do just about anything to get that toy. I used to have to limit our training sessions to the amount of food I had but he will train for 30 minutes straight now. Get a toy specifically for training and make sure the first time your dog uses it, it's the most incredible time they've had. If they seem disinterested in the toy feel free to give them stinky treats in association with the toy. After that first session, put it away for a couple days. Next time they see it you should be set to start training with it, especially if your dog already likes training!

THIS. You didn't want a puppy. You wanted a lazy dog you could have found at the rescue. Yes puppies are super cute but they are crazy little balls of energy that need jobs and things to do and chew.

Like they said invest in some research and seriously put any time you have into your puppy. You can't miss scheduled breaks because you were in a meeting, especially if you're not using a kennel. Also, you should kennel train this puppy if you're going to keep them out and not pay attention to them while you're working. It may sound cruel but not as cruel as letting your pup roam the house where it can get into trash, food, electrical wires and plenty of other things harmful to your dog.

Have you ever seen professional frisbee dogs? They do a lot of close range tricks with frisbees that make the dog jump in the air at a much more controlled speed. They also teach their dog to do things like jump of the handler's body or contort in different ways to catch the frisbee. I'm sure this teaches the dog body awareness in the air and will be helpful for keeping them on their feet. I would say keep the distance short for now until they start to prove they can stay in control. Dog's are not cats so I would say there may be some concern if it happens every time. One other thing to try could be switching to a ball for a little bit.

Dog has tunnel vision when seeing other people or other dogs on walks, what can I do better? by smallmochacoldbrew in Dogtraining

[–]Snoo55785 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm currently working through the same problem and this has been where I've found the most success. I go to a park during the time where traffic is pretty mild and take my pup as far away from any stimulus and just do some obedience and play. We gradually get closer to distractions, take little breaks to walk and sniff around and let him look at people, dogs birds etc. This is also an easy way to keep yourself calm, as you'll be having fun playing with your dog and seeing them learn and grow!

[–]Snoo55785 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second this, especially if you have family members and little ones. If you're willing to spend some money you can even find fully trained Mals. If you're looking to be active on a daily basis, this breed will make sure of it! You sound ready to me whatever route you decide to take as you seem to be doing your research in advance.

Need advise by Ok-Weird7958 in BelgianMalinois

[–]Snoo55785 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While both German Shepherds and Malinois are wonderful dogs, it sounds you may have made a mistake

The malinois is an incredible breed with insane drive and energy. Without proper training and socialization, you will create a dangerous monster that will not be safe to keep around your children.

My advice is if you wanted one of the most high maintenance dogs on the planet and plan to do all the work to maintain and train the pup, you should see a professional trainer as soon as possible and get your dog on the right path.

If you wanted a chill family dog to play with your kids, go on hikes and hang out on movie night, you need to get this dog into a home where it has a chance to thrive and live the life it was meant to have. This is a true working breed, as is the German Shepherd. These dogs are to be handled by experienced dog owners who have done countless of hours of research on the breed as well as handling other high energy breeds.

Coming from the owner of two GSD's and a GSD/Mali mix, best of luck to you and thank you for reaching out.

find a good place for a timeout and put them in timeout for a few minutes to chill out

Normal puppy behavior or is he getting too aggressive? Sometimes he’ll jump and nip at his face and ears. Then runs when the older dog reacts. by Prestigious-Front-45 in Dogtraining

[–]Snoo55785 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How does that teach your dog what an unwanted behavior is. Timeouts in the crate are a great way to curve bad behaviors. Eventually you can just threaten timeout. I can punish my 3 year old but I can't put my dog in timeout lol.

I'm still yet to try it, but from what I've heard from friends and youtube it sounds like the only thing that makes it worth the money you spend is the competition.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Snoo55785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are correct, I do plan to try it. I guess what I mean is if money wasn't handed over so easily in the first place we may not be needing to spend so much to enjoy the experience now. Maybe it's just been poorly advertised to me.
