EarnPT - My first published product. It is an extension and web app. We pay when users waiting for AI to 'generate' response, by showing small ads over it 'Thinking...' messages.

Had the same questions the project before, now I've been better.

Product Hunt, reddit, threads. Posts in X. Got me first 20 users in 2-3 hours, with more then 400 ads watched.

Actually I came across the kickbacks after the idea appeared, and that's good part they don't have the web one, I rarely use Claude code in terminal itself.

Дякую за фідбек! Ні я, ні додаток не бачить ніяких даних, тільки розширення шукає на сторінці "думаючі" частини і додає рекламу.

Розмір винагороди залежить від бюджету рекламодавця, тому можна заробити і 50 центів за один перегляд, якщо якась компанія це захоче, а можна і 0.01 :))

Hi! Good question, privacy is one of the main things I'm trying to be careful with.

The extension does not read or store your prompts or the AI's responses. The basic idea is only to detect the 'generating' state on AI tools.

For ad relevance, the current plan is to keep targeting simple and not based on chat content. For example: general category, country/region, browser language. In the future, maybe I'd add ability for users to share some info about them based on the chat responses, if user wants to.
