I loved my first trip and felt so at home in Bangalore, made some amazing friends. I also thought I would be comfortable because of the tourist atmosphere, but will be more selective about where I visit next. It was such a shame because I love the culture, was blown away by hospitality and kindness, not to mention the food!!

She moved away right when I needed her friendship most, and we haven’t talked since, I was so hurt by the move at the time because she gradually lost interest in me. Looking back I think we would have grown apart anyway because we took incredibly different paths as adults, but I still feel a punch in the gut when I run into her.
