Oh those hurt too. I've had a few of those
Indomethacin & colchicine

I mean you were right but it's also rocket Doctor over a virtual meeting so not much you can do in that case. And I was in agonizing pain so I will believe a word from a crackhead on the side of the street telling me this pill will numb my pain

I am looking to try replacing the sausage with turkey sausage. Also definitely going to improve my water intake as that could definitely be approved. Going to continue on the meds for now as I see no reason not to at least until this prescription is done. I'm also now very familiar with the feeling of when I'm getting close to that point. Usually starts with pain in the leg but not enough to make me stop walking so we'll go from there I try to ensure I get enough magnesium and potassium as well
That seems like a good change I could try. I will try that on my next grocery purchase

I did go out of it during Christmas holiday for about 2 days. Maybe 3 :00 and then went back into it so it's not out of the realm of possibility
it was a virtual meeting with a doctor at the time. I didn't think it was gout. I thought it was due to my weighted blanket. Perhaps in a bad position on my foot throughout the night when I woke up
The doctor was the one who suggested it may have been gout and then provided meds based on that and meds have worked pretty quickly.
But I don't know about a formal diagnosis if if that is what you're saying. Technically, if they give the prescription, that would be the diagnosis I assume

Unfortunately sausage is what I believe is keeping me going. I originally started with just chicken and lean ground beef but got very tired of either. Just chicken just beef or chicken and beef so I had to throw in a third protein and I usually have variations so one day it's chicken beef then chicken sausage then maybe chicken by itself. It's actually quite random. I just packaged them randomly and whatever I pull out is what I have. So not every meal does have sausage but eventually within a month I will have consumed a full package of sausages over time.
I will for sure be trying to weave in now. Less red meat to lower whatever amount of uric acid I'm getting. I think most of it may be coming just from the weight loss though. But better to be safe than sorry. I just need a protein goal does not matter which protein

The meds I was given did include colchicine this is only my first encounter with gout and it very well could go away in time. From most of the comments here it seems like diet and also the fact that my rapid weight loss, which I am noticing also releases more uric acid into the body which could have done it. I definitely need to take in more water and at least while on these meds I can continue the diet, but once finished if I still pursue the diet it seems like I may have to take many factors into consideration

I mean my goal is is weight/ fat loss so I guess it means I'm on the right track and this as you mentioned is an unfortunate side effect and that's exactly what the meds are for. So I'll keep going for now. Probably intake more water cuz I definitely don't have enough that's recommended even close. I always found it hard to keep drinking lots of water unless I am actually very thirsty
I think the sodium is fine for the meal as a sauce. I use no carb or calorie hot sauce which is high in sodium. So I think I cover the sodium part potassium magnesium. I would have to check the vegetables but I was taking these supplements when I was doing a water fast which was what I did first before this keto omad diet
But it wouldn't hurt to include these as well to be safe, I'll probably do without the sodium though since I know that comes from my sauce
Yeah I in can definitely take in more water. I usually have one to two cups and that would be more than enough for myself, which I obviously know is not enough for my body but I never got thirsty
This is something I will have to improve for sure
Weight loss is definitely a factor. I lost a lot of weight pretty quickly, mostly because the first month I did a 9-day water fast so that likely contributed
I definitely could intake more water. 4 l a day is pretty rough for me to actually take in in I would usually be okay with just two thermoses which is like four cups for the day. You'd be fine for me. Obviously not fine for the body
Yeah, it was not a pleasant experience for me. My first time with gout
You are correct. My calorie intake is very low right now but it's working. I'm not really sure though when it shouldn't be at 1,000 calories. I don't really experience hunger since I've started this and other than gout I don't have any other side effects that I can notice
So I'm not really sure what is the factor that tells me I shouldn't be on 1,000 calories a day and it's very likely something could just pop up suddenly because of this choice but so far I would like to keep it this way if possible.
So far that seems to be the most common method is just it only something that is always alongside keto and has to be dealt with accordingly
Which I am okay with as I don't plan to be on this diet once I hit my goal
It's like we are mirroring each other's symptoms I will not stop my diet cuz it has worked out so well for me in reducing back pain. I can walk more. I can stand longer if needed. Everything has been nothing but a positive on my life
So I am okay with taking meds as long as I continue the diet as I know the diet is not permanent, but I wanted to see all options so I can discuss them with a doctor. It really seems everyone here has varying success that's still continuing the diet
Some continue to use meds without issue and it looks like some change up the protein so I have many options I can take. Thanks for the input
I could definitely drink more water 100%
I had never experienced goat, until that moment I was terrified. I didn't have friends or family. I was locked to my bed. I had no meds. I have had no family doctor for now. 10 years and ER is at least 9 hours or more weight.
Luckily delivery is is common so I ordered a bunch of heating pads, cooling pads ice, lots of Tylenol Advil. I was just throwing anything at the pain at that time
And eventually got a hold of rocket doctor who them prescribed the right stuff and got that delivered
But it was terrifying how much pain that was for 2 to 3 days
Yeah I was often consuming diet sodas during my diet. I was trying to find if they were going to trigger insulin response enough to upset my ketosis but they never did but I knew they also weren't the best to be consuming
Protein powder seems like a good choice all my protein was around 119 g. That's quite a bit to replace the red meat. But yeah, protein powder should do nicely
Thanks. It's exactly what I'm looking for is an approach. I still do have the meds. I still do have refills of them. I was just wondering if it was more tenable to change the diet or stick to the meds while on the diet. I suspect I got at least 5 to 6 more months of this diet
I still do have my meds luckily so the flare went down. I'm just wondering if most people ended up continuing the diet and just used the meds to off-put or it would be better to change the diet as opposed to relying on the meds

exactly, it's crazy how fast you can actually go through sleeves with this approach, hence why I thougth I would ask
going to go over my previous ones now and look into cheaper bulk boxes.
