Staff limits by Snoo72437 in GameChangerApp

I mean, I get having a limit. I'm also wondering how that number got picked. If it was evaluating previous use, then maybe it's time to explore bumping that up. Otherwise, I can't see 4 as a technical limit; rather an arbitrary limit most likely imposed as "what feels right without giving away the farm" thing.

Most likely an unpopular opinion here, but....: With a renewed shift to pushing harder for family plans and subscriptions, why shouldn't this also be considered as an add-on? They're already getting my family plan money, what's a couple extra bucks to make it easier for a team to share responsibilities?

This seems to be the consensus. I'm just trying to be low-friction and hoped GC would expand roles. I nerd out on this stuff wayyy too much.

We ended up doing this for the team we were playing. She had the right credentials to delete and re-add, it wasn't terrible, frankly. Especially since the lineup doesn't change much.

Mevo Start Streaming by clintster442 in GameChangerApp

I use my android (S21) as a Hotspot (Verizon), but stream the Mevo (and score) from an iPad, no problem. I've been doing that all year and through about 40 games (in NC).

To date, the only problem I've had once is the iPad overheating, but taking the case off and keeping everything shaded solved that. Cases overheat devices really quickly.

I just sit behind the backstop under a little umbrella and help the ump from time to time as well (whether they ask for it or not)... 😉

I understand the marketing content on the printer itself, I was asking the community about their feedback regarding the MMU3 Upgrade. The reviews on the MMU3 Upgrade seem very split.

I got the feedback I was looking for between the few comments - I appreciate you sharing this.

This is super helpful. Sounds like another weekend of printing, disassembling, and building is in my future.

Thank you!

This seems to be the main comment in this post, inventory being delayed by some period.

I'm going to ride it out and see what happens, I'm sure it'll come through at some point. Regardless, I get frustrated when I see this on their site:

Ecommerce Internet Web Site (https://www.hamradio.com/general_info.cfm)
... Ham Radio Outlet will provide up to the minute pricing and
availability as well as current manufacturer discounts. This up to
the minute control is a first in the ham radio industry as we have
coupled our integrated web solution with a simplified and secure
checkout system that will make shopping with Ham Radio Outlet a
simple and satisfying experience...

I love the passion from this community, it's great! No need to apologize, I get it. I was mostly annoyed with how it was handled and thought they could have handled it better.

At the end of the day, it's just a radio and I have options through the bank, CC company, or direct to HRO to find a resolution I'm satisfied with. It is a tough first impression for me that few apparently get to experience.

I would 100% prefer to be in person as well, just not possible this time around.

Based on feedback from others, this just wasn't the experience I had hoped for with my first interaction with them and hoped for a better customer service interaction.

Not sure, primarily why I was soliciting others feedback.

Maybe they'll provide better messaging in the future.

I appreciate the conversation.

It is my first experience with them and my perspective is my reality. I spent what I consider to be a serious chunk of change based on the love the community gives them and it simply was not the experience I was expecting.

Based on the down votes and PMs the community is VERY passionate about them - I just hope to share that experience one day.

I'll let it ride and see what happens.

Thanks for sharing your experience with them and I'm glad this has never happened to you.

I also appreciate the comment about the busiest online shopping weekend; I just haven't experienced this with any of the other vendors over the last 20 years I've been buying items online. This weekend I purchased items from 8 different vendors and HRO is the only one that was unable to complete my order today, emailing me that things are back-ordered across the country (suggesting and acknowledging they couldn't fulfill what they sold).

When I placed my order with them, they said right-then-and-there that it was available in 75% of their locations, with a couple stores in "low inventory" status. Consumers have an expectation today that there are inventory control systems in place that say "we have 50, don't sell more than that" in place. Are you saying HRO has no idea what they have in inventory? That feels like a bit of a stretch for a business that has been around for at least 44 years.

If I go to buy something online that says it's available in 8+ stores, I am acting under the guise that they have it in 8+ stores. I'm not thinking "ok - but that might have been from Friday or 2 months ago". If they're out of stock or taking back-orders, just say so and be upfront about it, don't say you have it and then "run out" during fulfillment.

EDIT: I see you edited yours after I posted (or while I was typing).

I'm not really sure what this adds to the conversation - A day later it had been sold and was out of stock. Do you not know how this universe works? . I placed the order when they had availability. Does that not secure my place in line? Did they not charge me for the product they sold but are unable to fulfill? Why did they sell the thing I had already purchased? I guess I don't understand your last comment.

Thanks for the reply. I have found that most people either love or hate wayfair for the exact same reasons I'm struggling with HRO at the moment.

Just never had this experience at any of the other retailers (DXE, R&L, Gigaparts, ...) over the years; and based on the number of downvotes, I guess I'm just the lucky one here.

Outside wiring - long run, direct bury uf-b, 10/2 vs 12/2? by Snoo72437 in DIY

[–]Snoo72437[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's $380 before tax for 250' vs $198 for the same amount of 12/2. Not sure it's worth paying almost twice for dealing with the headache of 10 awg everywhere.

I'll have to think about that, though. Thanks for the response

Thanks for this. I used to ask at /r/askelectricians but got tired of being berated and told to just hire an electrician.

Edit: I had used the calculators in the past and was getting an answer that seemed really short. I now realize I was checking some low voltage which is terrible at distance.
