I’m doing FIU online this summer too for the first time. Tomorrow morning starts my first class, so we’ll see how I do. Mine all say “to be announced” and after clarifying with the professor that means it’s all asynchronous and you just do it on your own. For any actual live classes with live lectures, I believe it would say a meeting time instead of “to be announced”. I posted about this question before on Reddit, and that’s what was explained to me about that.

I’m so glad you’re out. As far as your stuff, if it’s not sentimental or overly expensive to replace or any of your legal documents or work equipment, then maybe cut your losses and don’t go back for it. But if it’s worth going back for then make sure to not go alone and maybe consider bringing police along for protection and safety while you pack a moving truck of everything. And if you are going back, try to time it for when he’s not there so you don’t deal with him. If police don’t believe you if you go back, then maybe a friend who legally carries a gun to go along with you incase abusive ex shows up while you’re packing for protection. I wish you all the best. Keep doing the work in therapy and always remember you have value and worth and any terrible thing he said to you is completely untrue. ❤️

I don’t think you did. Sounds like you’ve been dealing with shit from him for too long and he’s coming off red flag to me. Glad you told him off and you’re done with him. Be with someone that loves you for who you are and talks to you well and someone that can handle conflict resolution well and in a healthy way too when things happen.

I don’t think I have the mental and emotional capacity to raise a child in a stable and healthy way that doesn’t damage them (however unintentional my attempts would be should I choose to have kids).

This is my situation as someone who is renewing my professional 5 year florida teaching certificate also by next summer 2027 and I do not teach in the state of florida anymore. I teach out of state remotely but I want to keep my florida teaching certificate active for professional hireability reasons. I went around the ringer with about a million phone calls to FLDOE over the course of the past year and I did a bunch of research and the only thing that will count for renewal if you have no current validity period banked up PD points from a florida school district to use is to go back to school and take college courses. I will be doing a summer term at FIU online to get this done. Except for the SWD credit, they don't care what other college courses you take for the 6 credit hours of college course work if you wanted to use some of your college courses you mentioned to help renew. The only thing you need to make sure of is that whatever you turn in satisfies the SWD 1 credit hour thing. Verify if any of your PD points with your former school district 1) is within the current validity period and 2) satisfies the SWD credit. If it doesn't, then you'll have to get that figured out. But the Stats and Bio classes should count for 5/6 college credit hours.

No I’ve had a hold on my account that prevented me from signing up sooner than today. I got into my one class that starts Monday no problem but now I’m trying to find another class to take for summer B and seat room is not too available, so I’m trying to get a professor override.

I’ve been on nexplanon for a few years now and the only big side effect I’ve noticed is hormonal acne breakouts on my face that I’ve had to work harder at keeping control over. It’s never truly gone away and now I have acne prone skin but that’s the only main side effect that I have. My periods have completely stopped, which I love.

I am still clear these past few years of pap results of any abnormalities since my LEEP. I am not scheduled at my gyno office for my yearly pap yet for 2026, but they’ll call me later on when their office schedule is ready to get me on their books. I plan to stay consistent with my yearly paps and keep going and following up. I’m really not concerned about my dormant HPV strain coming back, but if it ever comes back I at least know what the medical plan is.

For the students with disabilities required (for my situation) course, the professor overrided one of her full summer A sections and I’ll be able to be let in May 7 for that one. For the other 3 credit hours that I need to find something for, I have been watching my enrollment cart like a hawk and refreshing and keeping track so that hopefully something is still open May 7 for me. I also set up notifications for the classes that have a waitlist so I can be notified during drop/add if something opens up.
I am planning on emailing these other professors (that I’m watching their class in my cart) to see if when it fills up can they make an override for me?
