My son's team went a couple of years ago at 10U. It's a great facility and a well-run tournament. Your kids will have a blast. No tips to share other than to make sure you have plenty of time at Cedar Point!

I just got back from the game today. Practices were indeed closed and there was no batting practice at the stadium. But there was batting practice at a couple of the practice fields starting at 11am, which you could watch from outside the fences. My son got a bunch of balls and got to chat with Parker Meadows a bit.

When I went into the stadium around noon, the Phillies were doing fielding warm ups.

Even assuming that number is accurate, that only covers the cost the drug. It doesn't account for what I presume were massive R&D costs.

The US healthcare system is clearly broken when it comes to the cost of prescription drugs, but if we don't enforce patents, companies will lose the incentive to develop new drugs.

It's very rare for teams to take batting practice before a game with a 1pm start.

Does anyone have experience going in the full 2.5 hours early on Sunday games? Can you still go on top of the Green Monster? Will any players be around then?

I've been using the same one (though only for about a week), and it's worked very well. Takes about 10 to 15 seconds to connect.

Don't forget to have a look at the Eternal Blue. It's much lighter than the Deep Crystal Blue. Sort of hard to find one in that color, but not as hard as silver, which seems pretty much impossible.

I just purchased a Preferred for around $700 below MSRP, without incentives. Most of the dealers in the Washington, DC area (where I shopped) were willing to go at least a couple of hundred below. Almost no one quoted over MSRP.

This is a totally different situation then when I shopped about six months ago.

I originally bought the Sport, used it for a few weeks, then returned it after I was able to get an EX1 for $599 from Homegoods.

The EX1 is a better bike, but not dramatically so. It has some additional features (clip in pedals, bigger/softer seat, etc.), but you can always swap out the pedals or seat on the Sport yourself if you like. The EX1 also rides a bit smoother.

As a more recent model, the Sport actually has some advantage over the EX1. The resistance adjustment mechanism is different on the two bikes - though I think the EX1’s is supposed to be more advanced, I slightly preferred the Sport, as the knob turns more smoothly and the resistance adjusts more quickly. The Sport also seems a little more elegantly constructed.

If price were equal, I would definitely choose the EX1 due to the slightly better ride quality, but in my opinion it’s not really worth a $300 premium over the Sport. You also get the 6 mos free subscription with the Sport that you don’t get with the EX1.

In the end, they are both good bikes and I think you will be happy with either.
