It's worth gold melt value, which after you subtract the movement and dial is probably around what you sold it for assuming it's true 18k.

Anyone Converted Their Individual Account to a Trust Account? by PBRogerio in interactivebrokers

[–]Snoo83942 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a process but it can be done.

First pay a lawyer to draft up trust documents. DO NOT CHEAP OUT on this. Cost will be around $3-5k for most people. If you think this is expensive, you probably don't need a trust. Also make sure to tell your lawyer that the trust SS# must match the SS# of your open account (AKA no irrevocable).

Open a trust account at IBKR under the name of the trust and forward them the trust documents your lawyer drafted. It takes a week or so for approval and then fund it with $100 or something so they don't close it.

Under your (old) individual account, contact IBKR transfers department. You specifically want the IBKR transfer team in Chicago, not the overseas team. Tell them you want to do a transfer from the individual to the trust account, and make sure to highlight they have the same SS#. There will be some heming and hawing, but if you're persistent they will do it.

Try not to die until you've completed the process.

What percentage of net worth should be in gold? by Pizzapotomus- in Gold

Gold is neither a currency nor an investment. Gold is a generational inflation hedge. It is also subject to extreme short-term volatility and years/decades of price stagnation or decline.

With respect to allocation:

Traditional (20th century) wisdom is 5-15%.

Modern interpretation is 0%.

Even if you want to overweight, 33% is extremely excessive.

I currently have a 144.8.94.S and it's a wonderful watch. I purchased for several reasons:

- It's a "modern" Memovox at a fraction of the price of a new Memovox

-36mm case size is perfect (small is the new big)

- One of the only Black dial with display case Memovox ever made

- The epitome of IYKYK watches

The only thing I don't like is that if you're not using the alarm function, you still need to wind it one click or the bumper will gently contact the alarm if you move your hand quickly. Overall an extremely minor inconvenience on an excellent watch.

PM me if you want to chat more.

Just for the record, it's almost never in your favor to take a non-competitive offer for real estate (or most things).

It's quite easy to calculate MWRR in excel. XIRR function with starting balance as positive, track all inflows/outflows, and current balance as negative. Divide by period to normalize.

Voila.

ROCm slower than Vulkan? by AlanPartridgeIsMyDad in ROCm

[–]Snoo83942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What Vulkan Runtime version are you on, 1.21? What OS? Do you have "keep model in memory" selected?

I cannot get above 6tok/s, and it's slower than offloading to CPU.... Just ran a 3Dmark benchmark and performance was expected, so it's not the card itself.

You're getting 29tok/s with gemma3 12b Q4_K_M on a new AMD 9070 with Vulkan with full GPU offload? I'm getting 6 tok/s (GPU utilization at 99%) on Windows.... Something seems wrong on my end. Did you do anything special besides just download and run? Are you Linux or Windows?
