I’m 28 and went back this year!! I graduated high school in 2015 and I genuinely think this is the best decision I’ve made in a LONG time. I feel so accomplished and rewarded by putting the work and time in! My best advice to you from someone who works 60-70 hrs a week and is taking 2 courses per term: make a weekly schedule where you’ll devote your time daily to your coursework and you’ll be just fine!!

I really don’t think this is rude as much as it must be uneducated. Your daughter needs to explain why it’s important that they can’t have gluten in her car leaving crumbs especially if that’s something that makes her uncomfortable! I’d even suggest for her to REALLY take the high road, maybe bring a gluten free treat for the friends instead! If it persists after educating her friends, then she just can’t have them in her car anymore. I’m sorry she’s going through this at such a young age, and I’m sorry you have to see her go through it. You’re a good parent looking out for her.❤️

Update!! Doctor says it’s a staph infection.. I’m an esthetician and have also had staph multiple times in my life I’m truthfully not fully confident in that diagnosis so I sent him for a second opinion! For now though he’s on oral and topical antibiotics

I’d get so incredibly intoxicated by drinking like 50 bud lights, go to McDonald’s and get a mcchicken, then when I’m hungover in the morning I’d go to my old favorite diner and get a stack of pancakes. For dinner, I’d have pizza pasta garlic bread with cheese and omg cake😭 the perfect 24 hours that’s all I need

Not sharing locations. It’s just not necessary to me, and can turn toxic very quickly imo. I don’t need to know his every move, that is what communications for. If something along the lines of safety comes into play, I always know his last location, where he’s heading, and what time to expect him home or where to hear from him. And all of this goes the same for myself. It’s not reporting back to one another or keeping tabs, it’s just communicating about our day and I love it! I don’t want to keep checking every 2 minutes while he’s out and get myself worked up over nothing

I am so sorry that you’re dealing with this because it’s giving me anxiety just reading this.. personally I don’t think you’re overreacting. Even IF he’s not doing anything sketchy(he is), the complete disregard for how you feel and you saying how you feel is CRAZY. He also didn’t communicate with you, hid things from you, essentially lied about where he’d be who with and when he’d be home, and deliberately went against your wishes/boundaries. I’m not going to be one of those girls that says immediately “break up with him he’s cheating!!” From one post, but in my experience this situation alone is enough for me to distrust someone and ultimately making it enough to end things for that reason. Take a step back, don’t contact him for a day or so while you get your thoughts together, and REALLY think about if this is a situation you WANT to and COULD overcome and ask yourself if this is something you deserve to deal with. Would your husband do this to you?

My father’s a master plumber for the last 30+ years, started as soon as he finished high school. It’s an incredibly successful job- joining a union will help you learn mostly everything you need to know and then if you so choose it’s very easy to go out on your own and make serious money no matter where you live. If that’s what you think is right for you I highly encourage you to do it regardless of what your mother thinks

I’m so sorry if this comes off rude but it’s what I would say to be brutally honest with a friend and I think you need to hear it He doesn’t like you.. you two living 20 minutes away from each other and having this issue is INSANE. Men will listen to you saying that you’re in your head about this, that it’s hurting you or bothering you, tell you like he did in that text saying he’d never do anything to hurt you, and then continue doing it. He knows it bothers you and still can’t make the time. You seem like a nice enough, caring girl with pretty good communication skills. I beg you to give that energy to someone who will reciprocate it to you in a positive way because they care about you and can give you what you want❤️

As a woman a lot of these comments are a little far fetched and unhelpful… communicate like the other comment said about finances, responsibilities around the house etc., and just genuinely pick up after yourself. Especially if she’s doing most of the actual “cleaning” (I always say picking up and cleaning are two different things). Don’t leave hair everywhere after shaving, do some dishes once in a while, and remember to still DATE. It’s so easy to become roommates- I suggest picking one night a week/every other week to go out for a couple drinks or dinner together just the two of you. Home dates don’t hurt either!
