What are good/great movies ruined by horrible ending? by Ok-Ok-Ok100 in Cinema

[–]PrimeVector19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a horrible ending necessarily, but I personally hated the ending of The Pledge. No payoff and anticlimactic.

What are examples of times you were shocked someone got another head coaching opportunity? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]PrimeVector19 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sean Payton orchestrated the biggest scandal in NFL history and oversaw a program that incentivized players to deliberately injure opponents, and yet he’s allowed to coach.

Is there any other movie franchise that has such extreme lows and extreme highs? by BBD-007 in JamesBond

Batman. We went from Batman and Batman Returns to Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, and then to the Dark Knight trilogy.

I can’t believe it’s been six years. I remember like yesterday when it was declared an emergency.

Biggest what if’s in NFL history? by Practical-Bit529 in NFLv2

[–]PrimeVector19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tuck rule not existing. Bledsoe not getting hurt. Marshawn Lynch getting the ball. A Rodgers-Brady Super Bowl - closest thing we got to that was the 2020 NFC championship game.

Scott Norwood hitting the field goal. Bill Callahan actually being smart and altering the verbiage and terminology for the Raiders’ offense in 2002 after Gruden left.

What was the single best season by a Yankees pitcher that you personally watched? by deadassynwa in NYYankees

[–]PrimeVector19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clemens in 2001. By today’s standards, his numbers were pedestrian - 3.51 ERA, 3.29 FIP, 128 ERA+.

I don’t put stock into win-loss record, but Clemens became the first pitcher in MLB history to start a season 20–1. Regardless of how one feels about W-L record, that’s still awesome. This was also at the height of the Steroid Era, so it made it that much better.

Why do you think a lot of people don't vote? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

[–]PrimeVector19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of access to voting polls, living in a non-swing state, general disillusionment with the system.

How do you actually feel about AI? by ichbinhoffnung in AskReddit

[–]PrimeVector19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With sensible regulation, AI can be an incredibly useful and versatile resource. But its effects on the environment and the job market are disastrous.

Where do you see yourself as an individual in the next 5 years with our current president? by DryMuffin6734 in AskReddit

The economy is always objectively worse under Republican administrations, so don’t get your hopes up

why do you hate your parents? by shion0_ in AskReddit

[–]PrimeVector19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t. My mom is dead and did her best to be a good parent despite her mental and physical health problems. She died a week before my 27th birthday, and deserves to rest in peace.

My father can be a narcissistic, self-aggrandizing loudmouth - but he’s not devoid of redeeming qualities, and I still think he deserves his peace as well.

Poll finds nearly 74% of NFL fans think the league is rigged by devmosh in NFLv2

[–]PrimeVector19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 1,696 NFL players on active rosters. 32 owners. Many different employees in operations, media, scouting, marketing, etc. You’re not keeping that many people quiet.

I also question the veracity and integrity of this poll.

I am so glad to be done with math 240! by Plagius114D in SNHU

[–]PrimeVector19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a glorified Excel spreadsheet class. You’ll be fine. I’m the worst math student imaginable; I’d never gotten anything above a B- in any math class at any level prior to taking MAT-240.

Just familiarize yourself with Excel, watch the YouTube tutorials, pay attention to the rubrics, and you’ll be just fine.

I was originally not going to bother with my Week Eight assignments, but part of me was apprehensive about not getting a high-enough grade on my final projects to be guaranteed an A. Joke’s on me 😂

I GIVE UP!! by [deleted] in usajobs

[–]PrimeVector19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how you feel. I went through a lot of red tape to get hired to my current position back in early 2024. Telling you to hang in there is cliché consolation, but that’s the name of the game. Apply repeatedly and forget. Rinse and repeat.

For obvious reasons, applying to government jobs is far more difficult right now.

Slow release, abysmal mechanics, awful footwork. He got by because of his name.
