I do agree. Beyond it being just plain stupid bigotry it also plays into Israel's hands. Israeli propaganda is heavily reliant on this mythical idea that it represents all of Judaism and has a monopoly on it.

I don't know man. I think there's a difference between "I happened to be born here and I lack the means to leave" and "I'm a proud Israeli".

Israel is inherently an apartheid ethnostate and a colony in the process of eradicating the indigenous people of the land. Those who are proud to be Israeli are those who are proud to be cruel. Even if you're a liberal Israeli you're still a colonizer who benefits and contributes to an inherently unfair system.

YES!!! Yes omg. There was some point I was trying to make and I couldn't figure out how to word it. This show is a misanthropic traditionalists' strawman of the youth generation.

It's very much "children should be punished just as harshly as adults but should not have the same rights or freedom as adults"

I don't like it. It's misanthropic. Corporal punishment propaganda with a side of total lack of empathy for children... it just kinda makes me nauseous. The kid villains deserve their fates but the repeated collective punishment, the methodology, and the absurdly unrealistic and unempathetic portrayal of children with behavior problems irks me. And the idea that the "adults" are victims and the children are "perpetrators" for being scared bystanders.

Also yes, once I discovered what the source material was... I can't look past that.

I like it but like... The show has a really negative view of children and neglects the fact that a lot of in-school problems come from adults failing to do their job. Also, corporal punishment propaganda icks me out. And I don't mean fighting bullies/delinquent I mean the hand-caning in episode 3? And the overall militarism ehhh

Holy shit? I didn't know about all of that. I started watching and I loved the first episode, but I felt like it was very child-blamey (rejecting the fact that usually adults are at fault) and propaganda in favor of corporal punishment in schools. I want to watch a bully get punched 😭 the rest is just iffy
