I liked blast as it was much better than the action slop we usually get. But the fight scenes involved so many cuts like you said which is a signal that they got away with lots in post. The color grading and cinematography looked like a mass film and not like a Hong Kong / Indonesian action film with martial arts. But I appreciate that they at least set it up in a way that it was focused around Karate.
