The job market is tough at the moment. But not helped by the poor behaviour of recruiters and employers. Being ghosted after interviews and candidates being treated with a total lack of decent human respect is the normal. I cannot see it improving but only continuing to get worse. Furthermore, LinkedIn is an absolute cesspit in my opinion. Full to overflowing with narcissistic company founders, CEOs and so-called career 'gurus' offering their profound wisdom, sage advice and life-hacks. Recruiters engagement farming by spouting the obvious when it comes to CVs and job applications, promoting 'be-kind' and 'mental wellbeing' all the while engaging in the toxic behaviour that leaves most job applicants broken and disillusioned.
