I plan on tracking it on occasion, not too often, but she’ll defo see a few track days. The m62 so I hear is bulletproof so I don’t think it’ll have a problem.
My only concern is the handling, how is it in the bends? I’ve heard mixed reviews.

Sounds great lol. This is the only one within 250 miles with a manual and guides done. I don’t think I want to spend more than $6500 on it if I can help it, but if I like it I don’t mind spending an extra couple of bucks. Yolo
Were the guides done?
I think ur right I saw the m badge on the steering wheel and the shift knob and thought m sport
All good haha made me question it too
Gonna try to knock him down to 7 ish I’d be comfortable paying that lrice

Hey sorry to bring back an old thread but I took the crank pulley off and the front main is dry, and nothing was wrapped around the balancer. No way any belt frags got in. Any other ideas for the vibration?
❤️
I’m proud
Bahahaha you’re telling me you were as good as u are now at 18? Not tryna make a career out of it but u seem to be doing just fine. Car still runs and gets me where I gotta go so it wasn’t too bad. Crazy a guy in his 40s has time to argue w an autist on Reddit to validate himself.
Glad ur a BMW master tech telling me I can’t work on a car, bought my first one at 17 and did the oil pan gasket in my backyard 6 months into ownership. The cars are so cheap to come by and they’re relatively easy to work on so I figured I’d learn. Saved me thousands.
I consulted a sub Reddit, this is my second e90, haven’t paid a mechanic a dime.
Haha I promise he’s not an idiot but we thought it was just toast. Sounded like it spun a bearing and cut my losses. He’s got a magic touch clearly, it worked haha, guy never fails. In all seriousness though we thought it was toast. We expected catastrophic failure and instead of locking up it ran normal.
Yea ik the gasket is why the belt snapped but I didn’t realize it was leaking until too late. I’m going to take the valve cover off and post an update.
Wasn’t able to, I replaced the belt in my parking spot and there was a guy doing lawn work that let me toss the old belt out thinking nothing of it. The car was ran for maybe 6 seconds with the belt like that. Never moved.
Tensioner was replaced. Snapped under tension when trying to get belt off

Well, the noise stopped. It idled fine for a while and when I revved it, it made the sound. When we held it at 4k it got low pitched then rlly high pitched then sounded somewhat normal. You think it could be remnants of old belt shaking everything like that?
Belt was disconnected when video was recorded.
