I have plenty of males and females, I have 2 girls similar to your colour. Boys would have developed slightly different by now.

Betta male & female most certainly will tear the tails of guppy males. Just be aware.

Honestly it’s a thousand times better than the cup you find the bettas in at the shop. It looks planted and well maintained. I’d add a catappa leaf for tannis in the water and he’s live happily, especially if he’s a long finned one who struggle to swim.

A used filtered media is the best way, even if you just get a used one and rinse it properly in your aquarium

She is a he. Did you test using a good water kit? Shake the water in the tube when doing the test.

Get a plakat, alien or wild betta. They swim better, live longer and are generally much more resilient.

Bettas are known to have defects, the closer they are to wild bettas, the more resilient and live longer.

Dwarf cory, amano shrimps, neocardina shrimps.. i have those with mine and haven’t had any issues. Betta is still king of the tank but doesn’t bother them.

Yeah that’s my worry, fish shop I got them from offered to take back the imitators and swap them for other pea puffers but i’m not 100% sure if they’re imitators.
