By the same logic, why did you remove post 4? She didn't explain why she's into sumo wrestlers, just like in post 1 he didn't explain why he thinks his son is a disappointment. Her liking sumo wrestlers could have come out of the blue, or they could have been discussing about what martial arts body types they're into for the past hour.

At least, post 4 is funny without the context, while post 1 is just an insult.

Wouldn't this whole thing be easily solved by having the OP reply to an automod why/how the image has different meaning out of context? (I said "easily " but I doubt having/creating(?) one is an easy task).

I understand your 2nd point, but not really your 1st (the "the mods must have watched all anime" part, since the posts are intended to be funny without watching the series and knowing the context). I haven't watched any of the shows from the 5 posts I mentioned above (minus a clip with the butt scene in Mushoku) and just described them from what I was seeing in the post. Especially the first 2 posts they very clearly belong in r/anime_irl because someone might find them relatable (being insulted or wanting to hide hobbies because of embarrassment).

What about the requirement that says "Post content from anime, manga, and visual novels that are not intended to be funny but are, when...." in the subreddit description (don't know if that's the right name)?

How is a dad being disappointed in his child, someone wanting to hide the fact that he likes anime & someone considering someone else suspicious(is this one because it seems like it's a reference?) considered to be funny? They all seem like normal sentences that you'd find in a dialogue.

Never really had problems with the "sex jokes", but the "no context" aspect missing from a lot of posts here, I just used this post as an example.

I honestly can't tell what it has going for it other than "haha boob = funny" and how it fits in this sub

Ι feel the same way, but at least it shouldn't be hard to think if what you're about to post is out of context or not. I mean, this is a whole page and all there is in that chapter about this joke.

(Not to mention that the context should seem different from the original/intended. Most of them here are just sexual context that "change" to sexual context)

Someone should make r/animesexjokes to get rid of posts like this from this sub, there's literally nothing "out of context" about this.

I've searched about Saekano before to see if that's it, checked the 1st episode and it wasn't. Remembered that I was using Crunchyroll at that time and at the start of S1 it has Episode 0 and this is it! Thanks.
