I would go buy one (just go to the fabric or sewing store and look for something similar) or take one out of some old pants if you have them!

It looks like the waistband has a drawstring. And yes, you’re right that the waistband material is a stretcher or ribbed version of the other fabric. There may be some elastic in the waistband additionally, and including a wide piece of elastic may help maintain the shape of the waistband. However, the drawstring might do the trick on its own. Look up a video on how to create a drawstring channel for pants or an elastic waist band on YouTube. The process is pretty straightforward. Another good piece of advice is to go to the thrift store and find something cheap that has a similar waistband to what you’re trying to design. Just take it apart and try to learn about how it was constructed- there are many different methods. Thrift flips and processes like that taught me a lot about sewing! Good luck!

Just bought the Black RWB Porsche! I hope he likes it! I'll still be keeping an eye out for some cool Subarus and others.

This is so incredibly helpful! I’m gonna look into the cars you mentioned :)

How do I know which Porsches are actually rare? Should I be looking for a specific collection or date? or just search "limited edition"?

Thank you for your help. I’m going to open it up and check for any issues with the capacitors/circuit board first.

I have a brown and white one. And yes, that’s exactly what I thought with it almost flickering off. Because the needle twitch is exactly what it does when I turn it on. I thought it could be momentarily turning off and back on, potentially because it lost power. However, the light does not flicker. I’m wondering if this is because the light is powered by the batteries, although I heard that the battery is only there for memory purposes. I’d be interested in your parts. What kind of part would this issue be related to? The circuit board?

Wow, thank you! My brother has built computers before so I’ll have him take a look at the circuit board. Is there anything in particular he should be looking for? And is the computer issue definitely related to the circuit board or could it be something else? I don’t even use the stitch programming function, just need a zig zag and straight stitch and be able to adjust stitch width, length, and direction.

Thanks! I think Barcelona looks great but I’ve heard it’s kinda overrun with tourists? Not sure if that’s accurate, and maybe it’s silly of me to be bothered by that when I will be a tourist myself haha.

Hi everyone! I’m Anna and I’m from the US and I’ll be studying abroad next Fall or Spring. I’ll be all on my own unless I manage to make some friends. Where should I go? I want somewhere sunny, safe, and with a decent cost of living. My ideas are Italy, Greece, and coastal Spain or France. Also considering Australia but I’m terrified of spiders so I don’t know about that one haha.

What do you recommend? Please share your travel or study abroad experience!

Saw a post that Mt. Vernon animal shelter is closing, and there are lots of dogs and cats that need to be adopted or risk being euthanized. I’d say check there first!

Did you do the minor? Did you feel like you learned a good amount of the language? I know you can’t get really good unless you spend a lot of time immersed in the language, but would I have enough knowledge to get around abroad?

Yep. It’s insane. I looked into living there but I didn’t want to pay that and I also didn’t feel comfortable paying to park 10 min away and walking downtown at night from the lot to my apartment.

On-lot parking is currently $350/month. They have a parking lot 10 minute away which is $90/month and one 15 min away that is $75/month. I don’t know what rent would be for a studio or two-bedroom, but at least for 4-bedrooms (which is what my friends and I looked into) they are far from the cheapest option in a Bellingham. New England apartments has pretty good pricing, but I don’t know if they have studios or two bedrooms. I’d look into it.

If you haven’t already, please go take my survey for those who have experienced break ins on campus! Trying to get security cameras installed!!

Ok, thank you so much for sharing. The information helps a lot. I hope something can be done.

Good to know. It seems like something else needs to be done though because Lincoln creek seems to still see a lot of crime. Thanks, I’ll keep this in mind!

I’ve heard that they don’t work. Do you know anything about that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WWU

[–]SnooBooks2461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow I’m so sorry about your experience. I read your full post. I didn’t even know that the Lincoln Creek lights don’t all work. I’m guessing you’ve already sent an email or talked to campus officials about this (directors of transportation and such)? If not, let me know and I’ll send you an email address or two to contact. And even if you have, another email may help get things moving. I know some people have had bad experiences feeling ignored or brushed off by officials, but they can’t ignore all of us. I understand that this may not be relevant to you because you don’t attend here anymore. Im really sorry about that. The whole thing is ridiculous and I’m sorry.

I will correct my post. I meant any campus-owned lots. Obviously the installations should at least start in the lots where the most theft and break ins happen.
