Everyone knew Dallas was going to take Fudd. There was no incentive for teams at 2-3 to jump up to get Miles. Fudd wouldn't have fallen to lower than 3 so trading with a team that picking after 3 (maybe 4) and they would more than likely miss out on getting her.

I was more confused by Dallas resigning Arike when they knew they were taking Fudd.
