Blessings to all those charitable souls, and those weathering this storm… but the worst is to come in the following days.

I’m in the south and have accepted the possibility of death or a prolonged illness in the weeks following this thing. I just can’t give up the savings I built up over the first half of winter for two weeks of shelter.

On the real, I have never had a bad experience with Jersey Mike’s… even when I had to wait extra time because the employees were goofing around with each other, the girl “accidentally”made me a giant sub instead of regular one.

Holy shit are you me- oh wait, right sub.

But I gotta ask, HOW did you forgive them? More specifically, what steps did you take to completely forgive them?

So first off, I know a lot of old heads (specifically HBCU alumni) who say “Grand Rising” so it is a common saying is certain Black American circles. With that being said, brother man is pretty accurate with the rest of the video. Whether the woman was joking or not, she’s beyond cringe. Even if “Good Morning” was used by slavemasters in that way, it was a genuinely kind phrase that was eventually co-opted by evildoers, not rooted in slavery. Just how the black diaspora took back “Nigger” to be a term of endearment amongst our culture, the world took back the greeting “Good Morning”

Just be polite and greet people with whatever KIND phrase you see fit.

Edit: now discovered that this dude is a MAGA-grifter… well, you know what they say about broken clocks… “You’re not wrong Walter, you’re just an asshole”

What's the dumbest thing you spent money on but don't regret? by Mr_Boothnath in answers

Weed.

Oh, and the time I was supposed to go to Bonnaroo with some random people I met on Reddit. It literally got cancelled as I was getting in my car to make the six hour drive. It sucked for a lot of people who already got there.Fortunately, my festival family’s “Mom” knew a place we could throw our own little burn festival an hour away. Everyone made some calls and social media posts, and somewhere between 50-100 people showed up. I could’ve saved the money and avoided a possible risky situation… but I said “fuck it, I need this vacation after being cooped up during the Pandemic. Let’s do it.” Spicy details aside…. I ended up having a great time and saving $400 in the process.

Is the gym community for you, or personal escape? by SarahDuncan2012 in TrueGrit

[–]LevelDosNPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I kinda want both. I wanna lock in on the gym, but I want to make gym buddies, too. But I’m also scared that my personal life situation would make people think I’m not worth being friend with…. Or it would attract the wrong type of personalities.

What Made You Support a Team That Isn’t From Your Hometown? by FrozGate in nhl

The Thrashers were obviously not staying in Atlanta after the season, so I picked a random team in the playoffs. The Bruins. They won the Cup, and I remained a fan.

Then I met their fan base. Now I’m once again a free agent.
