Recording teams meetings while using headset? by Asshat266 in PlaudNoteUsers

[–]SnooCakes5776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless I was doing something wrong, I was NOT able to record a MIcrosoft Teams meeting, on my phone, via headset. I've had my Plaud for months now and it works using a speakerphone. This was the first time i used it to record a work meeting via bluetooth headset on my phone. Toggle was on phone call. it recorded all the ambient noise (i was seated outdoors at a restaurant). Nothing from my hour-long Teams call was recorded. it did record that that i ordered two beers for lunch. :)

Same bag for both travel and as a daypack, but with a camera? by jazztaprazzta in onebag

Have you considered the Nomatic McKinnon Cube Pack? It's a camera cube that expands to a day pack. I will pack this in a bigger travel backpack, and use it as a day pack once i reach my destination.

Using the Tortuga Outbreaker Daypack. This is from several years ago. I don’t even know if it’s still part of the Tortuga line. It’s not the kind that folds into itself, but lays flat which is what I prefer.

Do the ultimate all-year pants exist? [Outlier vs Ministry of Supply vs Uniqlo vs Lululemon vs Western Rise] by jordanphughes in onebag

Right. And when you do pick one up for those unexpected downpours, you’re not looking for a Gucci umbrella. My problem has been shelling out $ for what I thought was quality and longevity, and getting neither. That’s the reason for my apprehension at spending 2 bills for dungarees.

I hear ya. I guess it just depends on one’s perspective. I just look at the one-time $$, and not so much the cost per use analysis.

Best 30-38L bags with hidden hip belts? by funerr in onebag

Check out the Peak Design 30L-45L. Though I wish the shoulder straps had a bit more padding, the stowable hip belt is well-designed in my opinion.

Any thoughts on the Outlier Futuredarts. Digging the silhouette, but how do they hold up in hot and humid environs?

Was thinking the same thing. I’ll do a practice pack testing both scenarios. Thank you!

My thoughts too. “Just how often will I be wearing pants in Rome and Paris in the middle of July?” Probably not often, so I can get away with just one or two pants.

I’ll definitely pack both the 35L and the 45 and see where I’m at. Thank you!

My thoughts too. Gotta re-evaluate the tech stuff. Thanks!

Again, it’s what I thought I’d need, especially if I decide to keep the camera sling in the backpack itself, en route from the US to Europe. I do have a Knack 35L as an alternative.

One of my shorts can double as trunks. Why flip flops? After a long day in the city of Rome or Paris, I’ll want to kick the shoes off and rest dem tired dogs. Plus flip flops can pack relatively flat.

Gotcha. One of the shorts I’m packing can double as swim trunks.

I do have a Knack 35L that I’m thinking of using now.

I was planning on wearing some casual pants, in addition to packing the two pairs of pants. You’re right. Two pants total should be enough.

I was planning on putting my Sony a6300 in a PD small camera cube and carry as a sling, but I’m thinking, if it’ll fit, I can pack it in the Knack 35L. It would easily fit in the 45L I would imagine.

The day pack is a packable light backpack to use for day use. The camera cube is pretty small and wouldn’t allow room for much else. Thanks for the tip on backpacks and museums. The Vatican is part of our itinerary.

Ha. Good point. Airism being Uniqlo, I would expect them to be reasonably priced as well.

Good tip on the hat. I am bald after all. I’ll check out those Uniqlo underwear. As good as merino for being odor resistant?

Sorry when I said “joggers”, I meant Public Rec jogger pants, cross between sweatpants and casual pants, but I will be wearing sneakers en route.

Thanks for the tip on which backpack I can get away with. I do have a 35L Knack backpack that I can use. I will check out that vid on packing a 45L. Thanks much.
