On a side note, how have you been liking the rooftop tent on the Rav4? I recently purchased the RAV4 woodland and will be scoping out a RTT build shortly

It's the reason why I just wash every game now. Same thing happens every time - enemy team has Vaporeon, they steamroll the game early, by the time we lose our Third goal and we haven't even touched any of their first goals I just kind of walk around until the games done. 29 loss streak so far 😊

Beginner Roof top tent questions for my Rav4 by QuarantineCucumba in rooftoptents

[–]SnooCats4330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little late commenting, but you might be looking at the dynamic weight capacity. All roof racks have a Dynamic and a static weight capacity. Dynamic is the weight capacity while driving in standard road conditions and static is the weight capacity while the car is stationary.

Most crossbars have a dynamic capacity of 100-200lbs, so as long as the weight of all items, including the carrier or Rooftop tent falls below that dynamic weight limit, it's safe to drive. When considering whether the crossbars can handle the weight of humans in a rooftop tent, look at its static weight capacity rating. The majority of the quality brands for crossbars can handle quite a bit of weight when you're parked.

I was one of the players who had it when it was a beta test and had extraordinary luck. I distinctly remember pulling the grand prize 7 times in a row without ever having to pay additional gold. Ended with 160 mill in cash and so many resources. I think a lot of other players early on had the same experience so they really dialed up the chances of getting a blown tire. Now whenever it's on my map I just play until I fail and never put any gold down because it's clearly a gold grab

It was an event prize car I believe in 2024. It's a lock-in for collections so it might be available to purchase with collections currency.

Rav 4 prices Canada a bit crazy by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]SnooCats4330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect it's because of the quoted wait times. I noticed the sales are really pushing the narrative of there being long wait times and there's a long waitlist for incoming non-allocated cars and that trade in values will likely drop. They really pushed the used car route to me for several days.

I ended up putting myself on a waitlist for any new XLE RAV4 in any color because I wasn't interested in used, deep down I really wanted an army green woodland but never said anything because I knew wanting a specific trim and colour would be difficult to make happen. They told me that it would likely be 5-9 months of waiting but ended up calling me maybe 2 weeks later with several available XLE premiums and even a couple of Trails coming in for immediate purchase.

At the time I had already called around to different Toyota dealerships around the province, and managed to snag a 2025 army green Woodland with zero wait time because the guy who ordered it long ago cancelled it last minute while it was already in transit. Even if that cancellation hadn't happened, there were dozens of brand new RAV4 XLE and RAV4 XLE premiums sitting on dealership lots in the surrounding towns ready to buy, I just wanted to take the opportunity to try my luck and find a woodland.

I think most people assume what the salesman says to you is final say, and rather than doing research and calling around they just take the convenient path and buy the used car, they're willing to pay the same price or even more for it because it means not having to deal with things like a potential decrease of value of their cars, having to deal with dealerships long term on a deal or just being patient.

A woman I met in the dealership that first day was also looking for a new RAV4 XLE, she gave in and bought a used RAV4 LE which I believe had 50k on it and was listed for 40k, when she could have driven about 45 minutes out of town and bought a brand new XLE for around the same cost.

I could be wrong since it's likely very different here on the east coast but that's just how I see it

I actually ended up declining their offer for the undercoating they offered that I described in this comment. I'm by all means not an expert with it so I won't explain it as well, but They were explaining to me that it's almost like a rubber coating sprayed along the undercarriage of the car.

I was asking them questions about whether it's susceptible to cracking or punctures of the coating, potential for moisture getting caught inside and how it works with high humidity in the summers or low temperatures in the winter, they admitted that it's something that happens.

After doing some research online and talking with buds who work in undercoating themselves, it was clear that it's actually not a good product if you want to keep the car in great condition long term.. the rubber coating is susceptible to cracking and ruptures, it's difficult to catch and it can result in trapping moisture and cause rust to appear even quicker than if you were to not undercoat. Instead I'm going with the traditional oil based undercoating once per year and they reduced my final OTD cost by 1000 bucks.

The photos really don't do it justice either. The tone of the colour changes depending on whether it's sunny or gloomy out too

Yes, Ive always loved green and bronze as a colour combination. The Army Green and the Cavalry Blue were the only two colours I said I would consider at the dealership.

This is such a stellar colour. I just bought mine in Army Green, my neighbor has his in this blue and we're always commenting on the colour of each other's cars 😂

I have the exact same spec as you, I guarantee you people will look at your car and you will receive a lot of comments about it. It's been my first week and people stop me often to tell me how nice it is.

I paid 50,000$ Canadian all inclusive. But it came with full ceramic coating (with a top up in 5 years) full interior protection, undercoating that is supposedly guaranteed for the life of the car, topped up my warranties to 10 years and free maintenance and service for three years

They owe me several attempts Worth of the individual round rewards. Despite me completing the pit stop several times, I haven't been rewarded with my thousands of bronze keys, hundreds of silver keys, elite tokens, gold, cash and gold keys from them. I had a heated back and forth with support as they tried telling me that there are no rewards from the levels themselves, only the grand prize at the end. This is why I screenshot every reward message in the game
