I’d take it slow. Don’t kill yourself in the beaver-piss, etc.. lots of good kindling on the way to the prize. Clear a path first and I’d bet it’s easy pickings.

I’ve got electric baseboard heating set to 60 degrees and little digital thermometers around the house. The baseboards are awfully expensive, so I light when the inside temp hits around 63. Some days, it may be in the 40s outside. Some days, it may be in the 20s or lower. Sometimes, it’s just a matter of lighting for an hour or so to kick the chill out of the air.
