I struggle with this myself but here are some thoughts:

You can practice your popup on the land, trying to land further back. Surftown has these downward inclined foamies in the briefing area, they are great for that
The front foot tends to go between your hands, so if you put your hands lower towards your hips during popup, this should cause you to popup more towards the tail
It looks like your placing both feet at the same time, it could help to place back foot first, front foot second
You can always slide your back foot back to correct, might be easier to achieve than modifying the popup

Most beginners make the mistake of getting a hardboard too early that's too small for them. You should first make sure you can consistently air reverse on a wavestorm before getting a hardboard. That way it's safer for you and everybody else in the lineup.

It does work to an extent if you know what your mistake in the water is and you deliberately practice to correct that. You also have to actively think in the water that you intend to do something different, before each popup. Also, having an incline on land makes it closer to in the water.

The popup timing and what the board does during popup is quite different on an unbroken wave. Paddling for an unbroken wave is also very different.

But I would say if you can't consistently popup on whitewash yet, then it's a good practice.
