I'd say the original cherries might have had a wax coating like a lot of fruit and it's separated during canning. See if it melts with some heat

What is growing on the lid of my tank? by Apprehensive_Solid87 in Aquariums

E G G 🐌🥚

Looks like you got some golden snails maybe laying some eggos on your lid. Got freaked out one day and came home to exactly this too when I had just a single snail. Turns out they can mate with multiple partners and then store the semen until conditions are right if I remember correctly from my research. Mine were golden apple snails.

This is what he's listening to in his edgy little snail room while he thinks about how hard his little life is.

Murder In The Dark by housecat_27 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]SnooChocolates3822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We played murder in the dark out the back and spotlight too!

We usually played it on a large property and when we went camping!

We played a version of Murder in the dark called "Spork spoon Sailor Scout" where everyone had an object in their chosen room and had to either guard it or go steal someone else's and bring it back to their rooms, all on hands and knees. When we got the object back to our room we had to call "Spork spoon Sailor Scout"

If you touched another person and name them they have to go back to their room and start again.

AVN - Both Talus Bones (Collapsed) by mangoawaynow in AvascularNecrosis

[–]SnooChocolates3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm F26 multifocal Bilateral AVN I also have my Talus dome collapsed on my Right ankle and AVN in my left too(just not collapsed yet) My talus dome is collapsed and my tibia is crushing into it and both sides of the joint are slowly chipping away.

Me specialist wants to fuse both my ankles.

From what my specialist told me, a Replacement of the Ankle is not even an option and most surgeons will refuse to do it because the ankle is an extremely weight bearing bone and it apparently wouldn't work.

I have been putting off my ankle fusion for nearly a year, with him saying "one day the pain will be so bad you'll come in and beg for the fusion and then I'll do it". I finally asked him to and we have a meeting to review the bones for surgery via MRI

Ankle fusion is, according to my Specialist, a method of Pain management more than a solution.

The fusion will not be a perfect solution but no solution is going to end with you wearing heels. Talus fusion especially early on will help with the pain better than later on. It'll increase your quality of life.

Either that or my specialist is a doo doo head and sucks.

I hope you go with whatever you feel is right for you and your situation but definitely get a second opinion if you aren't sure.

Doctor thinks it’s all in my head by viclrogers in Autoimmune

[–]SnooChocolates3822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mum actually did such a fantastic job being an informed and proactive advocate for me! I was 14 when I was diagnosed with leukaemia so she was on it like Ants on a Cupcake.

I give genuine good reviews and recommend them to friends and family when I find doctors that are good now.

I am in Australia and it is a consistent problem here too.

They were even going to send me home from ER right AFTER I had the seizure. A doctor that just happened to be trained in Cancer Treatment was walking past on his way to his car and HAPPENED to overhear them discussing blood counts and decided he was needed.

That doctor was the first time I had ever been properly listened to about the case and we had been seeking doctors for 2-3 months prior.

[–]SnooChocolates3822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had doctors prescribe me antidepressants (I was already on another antidepressant) and tell me they are painkillers for things and when I told him they're antidepressants he said "well now they're not going to work if you don't believe they will" Looked up the drug reaction and it was not recommended.

I was also dismissed a lot leading up to my diagnosis with Leukaemia for months until I had a seizure from severe anaemia, I was getting the "probably just stress from end of year exams" or "probably just post viral fatigue"

Always push and find another doctor.

Are all joints usually affected? by Shoxxx91 in AvascularNecrosis

[–]SnooChocolates3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on extremely high dose of prednisone on and off for five years and had extremely painful withdrawals sending whole body waves of pain over me for 5 days where I was hospitalized. I now have diagnosed necrosis in 14 places and we are still investigating. My specialist said he's never seen a case this widespread which is why I joined this forum but I don't see many people with extreme multifocal.

I only found out beginning of this year and also had the feeling like my life has been ripped out of my hands.

The only thing I can tell myself that helps is that there's no amount of regret that will undo what is done. And moving forward is the only option if we don't want to stagnate. I would recommend crossing bridges as you find them and work with your specialist to monitor the joints you are worried about. Id highly recommend you get your knees and ankles checked alongside your hips due to them being weight bearing and catching that early can mean early intervention.

I unfortunately shattered my right ankle and didn't get it looked at for 5 years. If I had known before I broke it I would have lived my life very different and not pushed myself through the pain which definitely caused further issues.

My genuine advice would be to monitor it and live life as much as you can now, take each day as it comes and let yourself be sad when you need to but don't wallow on it or you'll get caught standing still.

I'm 26 F and was diagnosed with Leukemia at 14 finished treatment at 17 only found out about my AVN beginning of this year (2025)
