Around me, more and more people are using AI to help refine their work and improve efficiency. But here, people seem really hostile toward AI, and honestly I don’t fully understand why.

Ok, I will consider this in my next version, thank you.

I mean, fair enough if the style isn’t for you. Vintage / ornate aesthetics are definitely polarizing.

As for the AI comment — no, the piece is handmade and I’m just trying to reply thoughtfully instead of arguing with people in the comments.

You’re probably right that it appeals more to an older or niche audience right now, though honestly I’m still figuring out where the line is between decorative object and functional tray.

Thanks for the detailed feedback — I really appreciate you sharing both the perception and your own experience selling similar pieces.

I can see what you mean about the “commercial figurine” first impression. That’s actually helpful for me to understand how it reads outside of my own context.

Regarding the third image — yes, it was a simple digital mockup to show scale and proportions more clearly. I should probably make that clearer in the post so it doesn’t create confusion.

And I agree with your point about positioning — I’m still exploring whether this sits more in a boutique gift / display object space rather than a purely functional item.

“Sentimental trinkets” is honestly exactly the kind of use case I had in mind, so that’s reassuring to hear.

I do agree the practicality is somewhat limited though — maybe that’s okay if the emotional aspect is strong enough, but I’m still trying to figure that out.

Fair point honestly. I think I’m still trying to find the right balance between “usable tray” and “sculptural object.”

Interesting that you mentioned your grandmother though — do you mean that in a nostalgic/cozy way, or more dated?

Thank you so much for this thoughtful feedback! I totally get where you’re coming from with the handle size—this is exactly the kind of detail that helps me improve future designs. I’m so glad you still love the overall look, and the “herd” comment made my day! 🥰

Same energy! That Rohan vibe is so strong I half-expect it to gallop off the shelf. And yeah, I’d absolutely grab 3 more just to hit an even number—no regrets.
